I heard someone say the word of the year for 2020 was "pivot." Brides and grooms all over the world postponed weddings, reduced guest counts, and often times scrambled to make last-minute adjustments to their wedding plans. When deciding what to do about their April wedding, Ashton and Grant were determined to still get married on their original date even if they couldn't go forward with their original plans. They chose to do a small elopement at an overlook in Carlton Landing and it was so perfect... fridged temps aside. ;-) With an expansive lake view as the backdrop, they said their vows in front of their parents and with siblings watching from a distance. The intimate ceremony was tender and sweet, and very moving. I'm pretty sure we both shed a few tears.
