Us gun nuts who do not have the knowledge to put together a rifle of this caliber really enjoy these videos! We would love to see more of them!

Dear Sir - thank you. But, it is a LOT of work and very time consuming.

Time consuming… Yes… Insurmountable..no. I look forward to this channel. See it #1 was sent to me by the rifle owner who is a co-worker. I have a big horn origin I’m making into a .280 Remington so I’m looking forward to your channel for guidance. Years ago I took a pair of stock Remington 788 in .243 and .308 and learned to pillar bed and skim bed on them. So it’s easy to see and know that sub-moa guns are extremely doable.

His work shows he knows how to build a rifle and then get it to group the way it does. He is very knowledgeable about fine tuning the rifle he builds. I would like to meet him when I had time.

Scott built this rifle for me and is here in north Georgia now. My best friend (first cousin) and I own 4 qmm rifles and all 4 are OUTSTANDING in every aspect. The video does this rifle no justice to the craftsmanship in Scott's rifles. You have to see, hold, and shoot one of his rifles to fully understand how nice they are. How in the world a man can put so much time, effort, and money in theses guns and sell them for what he does is hard to comprehend(he has to be loosing money). He hasn't asked, paid, or even given me permission to talk about his work but shooters and hunters need to know how nice these guns really are! If you are in the south east or close to us we would love to show you Scott's work and let you shoot any or all of them as much as you want, they are truly amazing!

This is a very in depth procedure. I got the .243 Berger vld hunting in .44" at 100 at the starting powder load of RL 19. In a Ruger M77 UL hunting gun, the bullets were in the lands, though. I use a Novagrade phone adapter on my spotting scope for photo or video to save steps.

The Berger VLD likes to be in contact with the lands. My 260 Rem likes H4350.

And I believe H4350 is temp insensitive. That is important when shooting at various ends of the temperature spectrum. 👍

what's the bottom line? Which bullet did it like the best? Seemed that the Sierra 142 did well but I could not stick with it all the way. Was hoping for a recap at the end that didn't come....only cows! Ha Ha. Nice work. really enjoy your videos and seeing your techniques.

So the recommended trim to lenght for 260 rem in reloading manuals for brass is 2.025 . I noticed your trim to lenght on your brass is 2.015 . Now is it fair to say , that you’re a proponent of lowering the bearing surface gripping the bullet ?

Might want to try the Hornady 130gr 260 ELD Match ammo. Might not be the magic factory round for that rifle, but it is for mine. 10 rounds @ 100 yards .299”. The stuff is fantastic. I was getting similar results with the Federal GMM 142gr ammo that you got so I wanted to try something else. that’s how I ended up trying the Hornady. The Hornady ammo surprised the crap outta me. I’m getting similar results with hand loads using Lapua brass, 38 grains of Varget, GMM primers, and Sierra 142 match kings. The Hornady stuff with a lighter bullet is flatter shooting , 7.8 mils with the 130EDL Match @ 1000 vs 8.2 mils with the 142 SMKs @ 1000 so why bother hand loading?!
