The Queen has hosted a reception at Buckingham Palace to mark the 90th Anniversary of Brooke - a charity dedicated to improving the lives of working horses, donkeys, and mules. Report by Zaina Alibhai.

Queen Camilla certainly respects her charity. It is obvious her admiration for its work is deeply and personally held. Compassion for animals shines more brightly than any jewel, royal or not. 🫶

@@lsmith9249 okay,,,thanks for the lesson in semantics…. now whenever I mean it personally belongs to someone, I will capitalize the pronoun to make sure the reader understands that I believe it is something belonging directly to the person. However, when, in general I am referring to someone who is supporting or patronizing a charity, I will use the lower case, as I did above. It is so easy to misconstrue written text, don’t you think? I’m sure this will clear it up. So…let’s just settle this now. By using the lower case form of the verb her, I do not believe she personally owns the charity. Ok? 👍 🤣

I can't help it but I find myself warming up to Camilla with every event she attends! Plus I like the fact she guards Charles from undesirables. It's a shame she shouldn't have to but she does it. Without gripe whinning, or compliant. She does her job. And more.

Honing in on how Brooke can help Costa Rica, Chile, Laos and Afghanistan would significantly help these developing countries out of poverty. I will comment however that Laos was the French's failure not the British so it really isn't Queen Camilla and the British Royal Family's responsibility to help support but if so one would be doing it out of blessings
