I feel like Lady Danbury in this scene was amazing as well. The look she gave George when she realized how he cared for Charlotte broke my heart. Also Brimsley piping up about the blood loss to the king took courage and showed his love for his lady. :)

I absolutely LOVED this scene. He basically told the Archbishop to move bih get out the way get out the way get out the way 😂...& threatened him. Then he not only didn't leave her side, but pretty much saved Charlotte's & the baby's life with his method of delivery. The doctor was useless. He loved that woman. All the history books stated the same of his love for her. He never ever took a Mistress, unlike all the other men in his family. It was also said that they had a very happy marriage...I guess aside from his illness.
@lyraserpentine894

So, this is partially accurate. Though George never took a mistress, during his bout of mental illness, he did inappropriately approach many of the queen's attendants. So, though he never cheated on her, he tried, and trying to paint him as anything but what he was is an inaccurate telling of reality. We can blame his mental illness, but the truth is that he still made unwanted advances to women who were not his wife, and that's not loyalty by any means.

She had a terrible marriage yes, but she still had the willingness to find love after her husband died. If anything, lady Danbury could have had more loves than anyone else in the show, she just didn’t marry them or have the privilege to. Given the time and era for the show, Kate had both but was afraid to act on it. Seeing Kate had the opportunity to marry a man she knew she loved, lady Danbury never had that so she encouraged Kate to go after it.

It was thought that if man saw what happened in childbirth, it might scare him off from visiting the bed of his wife ever again. A disaster if he was a man who needed a son.

This is a spinoff series based on Bridgerton series. In that series, the queen is black. And her being black is important in that show because that show has an all inclusive society which is explained away by the fact that their king married a black woman.

She is black /has black ancestry.Queen Elizabeth told Meghan Markle when they first met about Charlotte being the first black queen .But history and present shudder to anything black.

@@Me-kq8uv this is completely untrue. She might have had some African blood but she in no way was the 1st black queen. This is not some kind of cover up it’s just a show’s depiction. No truth in it but thanks anyways

She is known to be the first black queen of England (though it is not 100% sure she was black - but she hzd black ancestors. So the theory is that she was black but painted white and pale everywhere because those were the standards)

This is the fictional series "Bridgerton". And in this story she is black. If you have historical questions - consult a history book - not Netflix.
