On 19 May 2001, Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh gave Japan's visiting Crown Prince Naruhito a tour of the Royal Library in Windsor Castle. The Windsor reception marked the first day of the 41-year-old future emperor's state visit to the UK.

The Emperor came to the dear Queens funeral ( they never attend funerals outside of Japan because of their religious faith) because he said ‘ she was always very kind to him ‘while he was studying over here. She would also invite him to have afternoon tea. 🙏

It’s such a shame they built the castle so close to the airport. You can ALWAYS hear planes taking off and landing in these videos from Windsor.

The close proximity of the airport was a major consideration when the planning application for the castle was made. The Empire depended on it.

The quen was unsure if the ancient gift from japan came from the ancestor of the visitor, so she was trying to ask him. Does he converse in English. He also studied in Oxford.

I do miss the Queen a wee bit though she did come from a long family of thieves. I’m not quite certain Prince Naruhito is as interested as she is in her treasures. And the sword…We mustn’t touch the sword, must we?

@@OlafsonN Kohinoor was gifted to Queen Victoria as a thanking gesture bcz of the military support Duleep Singh got from Britain to win war. He even signed a document when he presented it to Queen Victoria- Empress of India. Btw, GB won wars and battles to achieve what it has like every f**cking other nations.
