The cameras from Thames Television got up close and personal with Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second, who was hosting a reception for all Commonwealth representatives attending the Commonwealth summit in the Caribbean. First transmitted on the ITV Network in 1986.

Several years ago, we had the pleasure of touring the yacht Britannia, just a bus ride from Edinburgh....imagining all the festivities that preceded its drydock in Leith.

I've always thought that Ireland lost out by not joining the Commonwealth. I'm sure the troubles might never have happened and reunification would have taken place.
