At the time of Live Aid I was serving in the British Royal Marine Commandos in a refugee camp in Ethiopia. We listened to it on the radio. We were surrounded by the full horror of the Famine, but when Queen came on the radio those poor soles who were there even reacted in a very positive way. I remember that a lot of us Royal Marine Commandos were crying watching some of the children dancing along, I'm teary eyed just remembering. I looked around at men I had fought alongside, who were tough, hardened Royal Marine Commandos who had fought a life and death war against Argentinian's in 82. By the end of Queen's set we were dancing with the children. It went along way to help build their trust in us. The famine is only one of many terrible memories I have from 34 years of active service, and 2 years hospitalisation. But when I remember the smiles on the children's faces, and their laughter at the terrible way we danced always reminds me that humanity will always find it's way through even the worst of times. I only watched it for the first time last year, my son put it on the TV. A lot of memories came back and a lot of tears. My amazing Wife took me to see Queen at Wembley, U.K., in 1986 two weeks after I got back from Ethiopia as a surprise. I saw Queen live 6 times in all, they were incredible live. And yes, I am an old fart.

I think he already knew at the time. I mean, it's in Bohemian Rhapsody. "Too late, my time has come." "Send shivers down my spine, body's aching all the time." "I don't wanna die - " Full body ache is one of the symptoms. The lyrics can be interpreted in many ways, sure. But it could simply mean this.

I loved your reaction. Dancing and lip-syncing through the whole thing and your emotions during Champions is lovely. A true fan. Freddie had nodules on his vocal chords since 1976 and had a throat infection at the time of this concert. His doctor told him he shouldn't perform but that didn't stop Freddie. There was no test for Aids in 1985 that was accurate so Freddie did not know he had it at this time. He was tested in April 1987 and that's when he found out. Queen were all four just killing it that day. I hope you watch Freddie and Brian come on later in the evening to do Is This The World We Created? They were asked to do the song by Bob Geldof. The BEST reaction I've ever seen a "reactioner" give yet! Seeing so many people gathered together for the love of music and such a worthy cause kinda restores faith in humanity .And yes it was like "itchycoo park " for me too. I agree had he lived the music he would have continued to make is a loss for the world not to have ,I really believe that...Great reaction vid thanks for sharing it.

I saw Queen live at Wembley, the same stadium that live aid was played. It was part of the Magic tour and had Status Quo as the main backing group. I would have loved for you to have been there. The atmosphere was electric and at the end he came back on stage wearing a replica of the crown jewels, and finished off with the National Anthem. Watching them is incredible, but to be at one of their concerts is an experience that you remember for life.

The best reaction of any "reactor" I have seen to this date. Your "set" is perfect. Lighting is bright and even. No real distractions in the background, they all blend in with the decor. The placement of the video you are reacting to on your computer screen is clear, sharp. The volume of the video is loud, clear, balanced with your voice volume! And the resolution of your camera/computer is HD! And mostly, you allowed yourself to be REAL, feel, even cried... emotionally in touch with the video you were reacting to/with. We ALL cry. And every time we watch this concert.
