This was written by Brian (guitar) and was recorded after Freddie had been diagnosed was starting to show symptoms (hence the beard to cover the sores on his face). Brian has said in multiple interviews that of all the songs they weren't able to perform live with Freddie, this one is at the top of the list. He said Freddie would have had such a blast with this song live. It's such a perfect audience participation song.

Absolutely AGREE... Can you IMAGINE?!?!? It would've been SO. AWESOME. I can just imagine the crowd singing "I WANT IT ALL!" at Freddie's command, at the top of their lungs... just as he would have them do with "WE WILL ROCK YOU!". ;D

Yes you described Queen how I think and feel about them . Queen are just an amazing group of 4 guys who were meant to be together and created superb music and videos to go on forever. So much passion and professionalism all in one from each of them and it shows in their music and live concerts. 👑👑❣️❣️🥰😇

FM is the best front man ever! He's flamboyant, captivating and more importantly engages with fans on a personal level from the stage. A rare gift. ❤

This is an outstanding song written by Brian. Roger used to pour beer on his drum heads so that is what the splash was. Thank you for your reaction.

I think Freddie expanded the scope of music Queen could pull off that others could not or didn't have the chops to do so - and that is one of their lasting accomplishments. In addition to their own sound, both he and Queen emulated music that made an impression on them. It wasn't necessary to follow the crowd; sometimes it was just for them. But like any good marriage, when it works, it works. In good times and during rough patches - they found their home with each other.

It’s interesting to me that most people, of all ages, who say they never heard of, or intentionally listened to Queen, are gobsmacked when they recognize many of their songs. The usual reaction: “OMG! They did that??” (We Will Rock You/We Are the Champions, Another One Bites the Dust, I want to Break Free, etc.), Or, “Wait...isn’t that a Vanilla Ice intro?” Yes, the one he stole from Queen’s “Under Pressure” and lost a law suit over. Discovering Queen is like discovering musical gold. Each nugget is a gift from each member of that legendary band.

Great review, I hope you continue with more Queen and with Freddie's solo albums as well. There are 2 wonderful songs that Dave Clark had Freddie sing for Dave's production of "TIME" The first is the title song, "Time," and the 2nd is " In My Defense" . Both are under rated but are masterfully done with Mike Moran on piano. Freddie and Mike worked together on the album "Barcelona", featuring duets with Montserrat Caballe. The title song was created for the 1992 Olympics held in Barcelona Spain, the hometown of Montserrat.

Hey Hon, I just wanted to say how much I appreciate your comments/observations! FYI... If you dig deeper than "just" their hits, you'll find that Queen & Freddie Mercury's BEST material is actually in their "Deep Cuts", the songs that were never even released as singles. (Did you know that Freddie also did an album of OPERA?) ....To really see them at their BEST, you NEED to react to Queen's LIVE performances... They are actually the ONLY band who are renowned for being BETTER LIVE. ALSO... (I apologize if I'm making an incorrect observation here)... I noticed the portrait on the wall behind you, and thought you might particularly be interested in reacting to the following Queen/Freddie songs: "IS THIS THE WORLD WE CREATED?" (THEIR LIVE AID PERFORMANCE) "IN MY DEFENSE" "THE MIRACLE" "INNUENDO" (FYI, both The Miracle AND Innuendo have versions of the (FANTASTIC) official MVs, which also include the LYRICS on the screen.) "JESUS" "ALL GOD'S PEOPLE" "A WINTER'S TALE" "WHO WANTS TO LIVE FOREVER?" (BOTH the official MV, AND A LIVE PERFORMANCE... They are TOTALLY DIFFERENT!)

I can't explain the feeling, when Freddie start singing, there's a magic, you fell something, which you don't know, I love queen so much, avid fan, 66 years old, as you said, out of the box, thank you, that's a right word, I'm Asian, sorry for the English

Brian wife inspired this song. Brian second and current wife is a actress in England and Brian invited her to their concert and when she saw how the crowd react to them and vice versa. She stated that 's what I want and i want it all.

AGppd reaction. Imagine Freddie was very sick here and was wearing layers of clothing because he was losing weight. I think you appreciate their song: INNUENDO, THE MIRACLE.ONE VISION and IT'S A KIND OF MAGIC which all have positive messages which I think are important for artists to write about
