Freddie was very ill when the song was released and couldn't film a music video, so the video was animated. It won awards for the best music video:) You're right, "Innuendo" is a lot like "Bohemian Rhapsody". Queen had 2 more epic songs like this - "Prophet's Song" (written by Brian) and "March of the Black Queen" (written by Freddie). You should listen to them too.

He will need to listen to the lyric versions of both songs. Both were far to complex to perform live. Queen did do a portion of “March Of The Black Queen” live but you lose the feel of the total song.

This song was written by Freddie. Roger Taylor helped him with the lyrics.

Freddie did write it, but not on his own. 😊 Roger co-wrote it with him. It is credited to all four members, but these two are the primary writers. Also, the middle flamenco bit has a guest appearance by Yes, GTR and Asia guitarist Steve Howe. 🙂

Great reaction! Queen had a few very epic songs. Innuendo was actually a no.1 hit in the UK in 1991, it was 9 months before Freddie's death. Queen's other epics were never released singles. I know the word Genius is banded about now-days , most of the time undeserved. However , when it comes to Queen and Freddie . I think it is an apt description ! I will quote the review written inside of their 1977 album release " Day at The Races" Quoted by someone in the media after listening to the album he wrote " Sheer Bloody Poetry " !!!

Freddie’s voice was still strong despite being close to death. He was very ill at this time. But no one knew he was sick except for his band mates. But regardless this song is still amazing.

They were very different people freddie had to sing them his way trying to keep true with hiw they wanted the song But most people will prefer his style of songs or Brian's... Innuendo feels like a Freddie song! But roger worked on it with him

What nonsense. This is absolutely not the case. Yes, it was harder for him than music, since he was primarily a musician, not a poet. He has a lot of amazing songs with a very deep meaning.
