On the Queen's 21st birthday, she gave a speech dedicating her life to serving the Commonwealth. At her funeral, Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby spoke of the broadcast, saying "rarely has such a promise been so well kept."

I’m not British , but I couldn’t help but to admire her ! And i even shed a tear watching the ceremony. What a life and what a legacy , she might be gone but never forgotten, a historic reign that will forever be remembered.

As a European citizen I paid respect to The Queen. But after I came to live in UK, watching, following and learning more about Her, I learned actually to love Her. What I felt during the 11 days to the funeral, it was deep. I followed every day all what happened, like it was a close relative or dear friend of mine. I will never forget Her Majesty The Queen, it would be impossible. May God keeps Her soul in blessing and peace.

@@GiftyBargains she did everything a head of state does everywhere, and more, being a patron of 500 charity organizations. She could have very well abdicated and still love a luxurous life without the burden of the kingdom, but she still chose to serve and work

It's probably my postpartum hormones from just having a baby, but this made me start crying. I'm an American, but this clip was so touching. The juxtaposition between her declaration as a healthy young woman to serve her people her whole life, long or short, and then the picture of her meeting the current Prime Minister as an elderly monarch just days before her long life ended ... it just hit me in the feels.
