In today's video I return to Stormworks to check out the updated version of the RMS Queen Mary and put it up against three tsunami's and a whirlpool!

Mary's encounter with a rogue wave is probably one of my favorite stories from history. Just imagine being on another ship, watching the Queen Mary get slammed nearly onto her side by a huge wave, and stay there hard over past 50 degrees with no guarantee over whether she'll correct herself or capsize and sink. All the more terrifying considering that she was carrying over 16 THOUSAND troops when that happened.

Had she have sunk with that number of people on board it would have been the most unbeatable loss of life at sea

@@ironsirenheadtv6122The "The Poseidon Adventure" book was based on this almost capisize and they made a movie in 1972 based on it so it ha e looked exacly like queen mary

I have tried many times to recreate the capsizing of the ss poseidon with that queen mary, yet she always rolls back up. What a champ

If this were real life, you would probably have to kill the engines as soon as your bow goes into the thing. You want minimal hang any moment the ship isn't supported by water puts extreme stress on the hull, and in a maneuver like what was shown in the video gunning it up the whole way you're basically guaranteed to break the ship in half.
