Not Yes... or Who.... just Queen!!! Brian’s guitar, Roger’s drum, John’s bass and the amazing Freddie’s vocals and the piano..!!! They wrote in history music with their talent, quality, creativity and diversity One writer said: not progressive or metal, not blues or gospel, not pop or rock; Queen found their own sound.. and no matter what music styles was, you can recognize it was Queen!!

Queen II is my favorite early Queen (like, pre-'80s) album. Taken as a whole it almost feels like a Dungeons & Dragons quest. White Queen, Ogre Battle, Fairy Feller's Master Stroke, March of the Black Queen, Seven Seas of Rhye are some of the songs that evoke that kind of poetic, fantastical lyricism.

Awesome reaction guys! I am glad you guys reacted to this song. This is from the Queen II album (1974). The album does have a lot of progressive rock, it had a black side and a white side. More examples from this album are Ogre Battle (this song is also considered as one of the first thrash metal songs) and the Fairy Feller's Masterstroke. The most progressive song on this album is The March Of The Black Queen, the song has 11 different sections, it is very complex, therefore they never performed it live in full, but it is a great song. Their most progressive albums were Queen II (1974) and Innuendo (1991). They surprisingly went back to their heavier progressive sound for their last two albums. For something a bit different please react to Stone Cold Crazy live at the Rainbow 1974 and Ogre Battle live at Hammersmith Odeon 1975. These songs are considered to be the first thrash metal songs. It is proto thrash. Stone Cold Crazy live: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ip6CmcVir9rRmZc.html Ogre Battle live: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/a5thmrV5mMqrdXk.html (This is from Queen II) For something with that more heavier Black Sabbath sound, you guys need to check out Son and Daughter and Modern Times rock and Roll, this from their first album Queen I (1973): kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bMyVhMyhrd6XiJs.html (They were known as a very heavy band).

This sound is unmatched by anyone - it simply can't be duplicated. Freddie's vocals and his passion, along with Brian's guitar work. This is an amazing live performance by the entire band - period. Brian and his father built his guitar. The wood came from the mantle of a fireplace from an old English castle. It is a one of a kind, but his sound comes primarily from the Deacy Amp. John Deacon, the bass player was an electronics major at the University and he built a special amp, also one of a kind. He use to use it, but gave it to Brian very early on in the band's formation. Brian used this little amp to create many of the sounds. Listen to "Good Company" from The Night at the Opera album and all of those sounds like trumpets and trombones and the entire roaring 20s jazz sounds are all Brian on the guitar with the Deacy Amp. Brilliant work. There is no argument, he is one of the greatest guitar players of all time.

Love this song. It's from Queen II, their second album, 1974. Freddie wrote The March of The Black Queen. The album had "white side" and a "black side". Black Queen has lot of transitions and tempo changes. I don't think it was ever performed live, but it is definitely worth listening to.

White Queen was on their second albums. Very early. The live performance was Christmas Eve 1975. Freddie had a glass with champagne in it when the song first began because he did a Christmas toast. This was their first live TV show that the BBC invited them to do on the heels of their blockbuster smash Bohemian Rhapsody. It’s the only live performance that Freddie plays in depth on the piano. He was a fabulous piano player, but he never thought he was very good. Please do Now I’m Here live at Wembley 1986. It’s a great rock song with awesome guitar and drums.

Name of the album: Queen II (1974), witch to me as a huge Queen fan, is the best one they ever made. Highly progressive. There is a track on this album called; "The March Of The Black Queen", you guys really should listen to. No synths or whats-however, just overdubbing and layering, at some point according to drummer Roger Taylor the 16 track tape was completely blank, lost all of it's oxide layer due to all the layering and overdubbing they did. Unfortunately because of that, the band could never play the complete song live, same happened to Bohemian Rhapsody. But you will have to admit that already in that time, Queen was way ahead of their competitors.

From their early work I like songs Great king rat, My fairy king, Lazing on a sunday afternoon, Nevermore, Seaside randevouz. If you want to hear Brian singing - the song ´39. If you want to hear vicious Freddie I recoment Death on two legs (in this case I prefer studio version). I also really like the song Let me in your heart again, the song was realesed in 2014 (I think). One more thing, I realy appreciate that you listen the whole song and then you tell what you think about it. I hate reactors who pause the song so often (sometimes I think every 15 sec) to tell what they think. In my oppinion thy couldn´t enjoy it.

Here is a link to Under Pressure. Back story. Queen were in the recording studio and David Bowie stopped by. They were talking about doing something together. John Deacon started playing a riff on his bass. They thought it was great. They went out for pizza and when they returned Joh forgot the riff. But Roger remembered it and the rest is history. Though they recorded it they never preformed it live. Roger basically sings the Bowie part. The riff may sound very familiar to you. Vanilla Ice stole it for Ice, Ice, Baby. Queen let it go and didn't go after him kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hbyqqdKBtZyxZWQ.html
