I added some Sam Comfort queens to my Apiary. Excellent pattern, temperament, storeage rim, and hardy. This guy has really done a stellar job. They far surpass a local breed I also added this year. Now lets see how winter fairs for a final judgment.

@@JamesLeesBees Winter came hard for 2020/froze the bees. I liked the queens better than the local queens I got. But unfortunately Sam doesn't ship queens anymore.

Very interesting! And the BBCstick-Combs: The bees build this combs on the inside of the box or? And this combs dont break by very hot weather? Thank you!

If you cut your boxes out of plywood you could drill a series of holes spaced 1 1/2" at center of a 12" strip. Split the holes down the middle leaving two 6" pieces then cut to length. . This leaves a place to rest the skewer top bars.

Would like to attend sams 4 day queen rearing class in Oregon or Washington. What are the chances of putting this together?

Solomon Parker no, not that I know of. Was seeing if someone can invite him out to teach his 4 day class.

so....your cell builders never have a laying queen in them through the producing season?

Mine don't know. Just add capped brood. Two backup queen right hives provide the fresh young bees for the builder. Twice a week add more brood. Hatched frames go in the queen right hives. I add brood each time l take out cells or am putting in grafts.
