I love this song. If you want more guitar and piano, react to Queen: White Queen live at Odeon, Hammersmith. Older Queen song, Freddie's vocals are amazing and the instrumental section (1 min and 45 sec long) between Freddie on the Piano and Brian shredding it on the Guitar is mind blowing to say the least. You will love it, I guarantee you.

People often say Queen's music just makes them....HAPPY. You my friend are the embodiment of that. You are in for MORE JOY if curiosity gets the best of you, which we hope it will. For every 80s big arena song you hear, there's a gem from their early days in the 70s...so sample. But the big sampler package, unrivaled, without a fancy wrapping is LIVE AID.

Queen Freddie Mercury Lead Singer, studied graphic designer, incredible voice, one of the best singers of all time, amazing stage presence and Crouwd Control, died of cancer at 45. Apart from piano he also played guitars and his favorite Instrument the audience. Wrote world hits like We are the Champions, Somebody to love and Bohemian Rapsody Brian May e-guitar and background vocals, also a very good voice with which he also sang his own songs. Doctor of astrophysics, he built his guitar himself together with his father when he was 18, the Red Special is made of wood from a fireplace, a bread knife and parts of an old motorcycle. He also plays the piano and keyboard. He wrote world hits like Who wants to live for ever, We will rock you, I want it all Rodger Taylor Drums and backing vocals, also an excellent singer, sang his hit I'm in love with my car in concerts while playing the drums. This is considered among critics & fans alike, to be one of his best rock vocal performances. One of my favorite images of QUEEN is from this performance... near the end of the song when the camera is on Freddie (center stage with mic stand) facing one way and in the background you can see Roger Taylor on drums, looking the opposite direction & singing his heart out too. Yes, Freddie was a phenomenal entertainer that everyone raves about, but very few give props to Roger. It takes a ton of talent & stamina just to be on the drums, let alone sing at the same time. Roger also has that powerful higher toned voice which pairs up perfectly with Freddie's. Their harmonies together are simply superb! Roger is one of my top 5 drummers of all time. :-)

I subscribed! This band is too good to skip their rabbit hole, you will come out on the other end with a different feeling about music, I promise. When it comes to reacting to them, you should first react to the studio version and then the live version, when available. Closer to the end of Freddie’s life, he wasn’t able to do concerts or live performances, so you won’t always have it but he was still there and working right up until the end and the band was there with him. Their catalog is vast, their music is different, you can tell that now but you could really tell that back then. They just didn’t sound like everybody else. Anywho, you will find that their studio version vs their live versions (even from different concerts) are all different, but this is a band that is often better live, which is rare, especially today. They didn’t have all of the fancy stuff back in those days to make them sound great in studio, and then suck live. But they change their songs, they speed up the tempo, slow it down, there is absolutely nothing this band wouldn’t do to put on an outstanding live show. And the love the crowd and the crowd loves them. Today is my birthday, I am 54. That would be about oh, 40 years of being a huge Queen fan. So for my birthday you must go down the Queen rabbit hole. 😂 Thank you for your reaction, this is how all reactions should be to them. ❤️

Watching you reminded me how I felt the first time I saw this. That right there is why Freddie is considered the best vocalist in rock. He had a 4 octave range and a vibrato of 7.4Hz. Incredible! I hope you dive head first down this rabbit hole, it is bottomless but don’t be scared, we Queenies will look after you. One of the other comments suggested White Queen live at Hammersmith in 1975. It’s their long hair, glam rock days and the boys look so young, but Freddie’s voice is so beautiful. The instrumental segment in the middle between Brian’s guitar and Freddie’s piano will blow your mind, tear your soul and bring a tear to your eye. Loved your reaction to this song though, i never ever get tired of watching it ❤️

Bohemian Rhapsody (studio version WITH 🎧) Live Aid 1985 (entire 20 minutes) are both a MUST!😁 While Freddie gets the majority of attention ( which he deserves), the talent level of each of these men is incredible. Put them together & they are epic. Each member wrote a #1 song for the band & each was individually inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. It's Queen's 50th anniversary this year. The original lineup was together for 20 years. Brian & Roger are still touring (and rockin it) with Adam Lambert as their front man. (John Deacon took Freddie's death really hard & retired from music in 1997.

Freddie was a boxer as a school boy, and a good one. If you continue w/ Queen, and I seriously hope you will, you'll see how often he uses his arms and fists in boxing-type move. Loved your reaction, I love 💕 this song. You gave credit to Freddie singing and playing piano at the same time. What about Roger on the drums? How can he sing keeping his head to the microphone and still drum when he’s not looking? Roger has an amazingly raspy rock voice, and can go even higher than Freddie. If you listen to Bohemian Rhapsody (their most famous song) that is Roger doing the high Galileos. Do the studio version first, then the live one at this same Montreal concert.

Queen is part of the soundtrack to my life. I grew up when Queen were a current band and each song they released was talked about endlessly at school. My generation had THE best music, nuff said. If you want to react to something a bit different, try listening to "You Take My Breath Away" where it's all Freddie (except a little bit of Brian on guitar). He wrote it he sang it, he did all the harmonies and overdubbed himself. (Go for the studio version to hear all the amazing self-harmonising and over dubbing.) To my mind, it's one of the greatest love songs ever. Always brings a tear to my eye. Good reactions, please do more with Queen!

Have you noticed the HD-quality and the amazing sound..? It was 1981 and Queen was one of the first ever to use this new technology, long time before Hollywood would switch to that techs, because of the costs! The whole concert was filmed in HD and is avaible on DVD in 5.1 Surround-Sound and even 7.2 THX-Sound. As the Queen tour was sold out and they were not able to play everywhere in the world - as they were at the top of their fame - they made a movie out of this concert. It was played back then in cinemas/theatres around the globe and became a successfull "movie". The people in the cinemas/theatres went crazy and clapped along, sang along and danced ... what a party! :-) Sadly I didn't saw this concert, but years later "Queen On Fire At Bowl" was released in cinemas/theatres as well ... that was epic! Imagine a room with hundreds of Queen-Fans and Freddie on the big screen with top-live-sound ... wow! amazing! :-) *cheers

Queen is my all time favourite band ever thanks to my dad, he died in 1991 on the 24th November which is my birthday a day I will never forget. I recently had a half sleeve tattoo of Freddie which is dedicated to my dad and Freddie, something I will have with me forever.

You HAVE to know We Will Rock You, maybe just didn't know it was by Queen.... My 6 year old was singing it this morning. I said, "Girl, you don't know nothing about that song or about one of the greatest bands of all time" hahahaha... I think I may have to introduce her after school :)

Some particular favorites from different points in Freddie's career with Queen. Killer Queen, long haired, no mustache Freddie, Glamrock, Stone Cold Crazy, thrash metal before thrash metal, Don't Stop me Now, Freddie's ode to hedonism and one of the greatest driving songs, ever. Bohemian Rhapsody, three songs (and genres) in one and one of the greatest rock songs ever created, Under Pressure, Deacon's bass was so iconic it was stolen by Vanilla Ice for his breakout hit, Ice Ice Baby, Radio Gaga, the song that inspired Lady Gaga's name, Another one Bites the Dust, We Will Rock you, We are the Champions, songs sung to this day at sporting events everywhere, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Freddie's homage to Elvis , Fat Bottomed Girls, Brian's homage to the fat bottoms Freddie supposedly loved. lol Love of my Life, epic love song. I want to Break free, The song that got them banned on MTV Breakthru, Headlong, Two up-tempo songs that Freddie aced even as he was sick from AIDS 20 minute set at Live Aid the charity for African famine where Queen stole the show The Show must go on on and on ... Inside my heart is breaking. My make-up may be flaking, But my smile still stays on.

Do you notice the great background singing from the rest of the band especially the drummer, Roger Taylor. Watch I’m in Love With My Car which was written & sung by Roger while he’s playing drums. They’re all amazing. If you watch it from Montreal you can watch Killer Queen (one of my favourite songs) & then they go right into I’m In Love With My Car.

Dr. Brian May built his guitar with his dad’s help from stuff in his garage. Also John Deacon the bass player built his own amp. These are all professional musical artists. John retired after Freddie’s death. He said it just wasn’t the same without Freddie on lead vocals. Freddie didn’t let me to be called the leader. He considered all four of them Queen. They were all geniuses and we will never see their like again. 😢. Miss you Freddie. What a legend.

Freddie Mercury (real name Farrokh Bulsara, 1946-1991) was one of the best rock frontmen ever. He also wrote some of Queen's biggest hits, including this song, Bohemian Rhapsody, and We Are The Champions. But Queen was a real ensemble, and all the members wrote songs. Will Freddie died in 1991, and John Deacon retired from music later in the 90s. Brian May and Roger Taylor still play together sometimes. They opened the Oscars in 2019.

Generally I prefer the live versions of everything by Queen, but the studio version of this song has a ton of great harmonies. Definitely worth a listen. I've been binge-watching reactions because it's fun to see when people really "get it," but some people are so fake. I'm totally enjoying your reactions! If you're going to jump down a rabbit hole, this is a great one.
