Absolutely, Roger's power and range gave Freddy the freedom to fly, gave him the underpinning that allowed him to stretch. People don't realize how much a great backup singer does for the lead. You listen to Pat Benatar, most of her work was her doing her own, and even live a good bit of the time. There just weren't enough singers that could do what she needed. Mot of her lead vocals were in the middle of her range, and her backups were below and above, layered in 7ths and 9ths as well as sometimes two octaves above with full inflections and emotions.
@cristiona225 жыл бұрын

Freddie was,the trailblazer when it came to audience participation. That started with Radio Ga Ga at the Live Aid concert. You would love that one. Freddie could hit up to 7 different octives with his voice. There arent any other singers out there that can. So to really appreciate Queen and Freddie's vocals you need to jump into some of the other songs. I love how you said when this concert was aired you werent even thought of. You are a sweet young thing. I have been following then since the 70's. So the sonhs you should check out are: Who wants to Live Forever, written by Brian May,, who also sings with Freddie. Mother Love Princes of the Universe, from the Highlander movie You're My Best Friend Lily of the Valley Fat Bottom Girls Freddie's operatic vocals, that will send chills up your spine. I want to Break Free There are just so many songs written by each member of the band. As you can see I am,a HUGE Queen fan. If those arent enough you should listen to Barcelona by Freddie and Monserat Caballe. Such a beautiful opera. I'm telling you that you can't go wrong. Love the channel Ty and I really enjoy the live chats. I check my phone constantly to see if I have any notifications from you. Keep up the awesome work. I will just now. Much ❤❤❤

You can't go wrong with Queen. I'm sure you enjoyed it. Try fat bottom girls next Ty....it has a companion song bicycle race in that the lyrics refer to each other. They are getting a lot of attention this year I think because of the movie....but there have been true Queen fans ever since they started. Crazy fans. Which reminds me of another you might like.... He is six years older here than he was in the original Bohemian Rhapsody video. You can kind of tell what year it is by Freddie's look. The thin, long haired look was his early to mid-70's look, the "Bohemian Rhapsody" look. Then shorter hair but no moustache in the late 70s. The moustache started to come in the early 80s and he got a bit more muscular by the mid-80s during the Live Aid era. In some of their late 80s videos he started to grow a beard to help cover places on his skin from battling AIDS. And, of course, he was very thin and emaciated in his last appearances. Does that sound about right to other Queen fans?
@SonshineLady75 жыл бұрын
Sounds spot on to me. I'd just add that his look here and in Live Aid is called "The Castro Look" as it was popular in the gay community in the Castro area of San Francisco during those years. Included that type of t-shirt and skinny jeans.
@SugarcatPlays5 жыл бұрын

Well, the Bo Rap you saw was the official finessed video version. This one was live, and actually at a faster tempo than the record. Lots of riffing, especially with the whole band at the end. Freddie was a legendary frontman, but he wasn't the only one who made the band great. All of them are fabulous musicians and it's not just Freddie improvising here - the others are too, seamlessly and as a unit. That's what makes them so brilliant.

I hope you know what you do is so important. I have depression. I was diagnosed when I was 17 (I'm 36 now). I've always been able to deal with it so that it didn't have a major impact on my life. About 2 years ago I was diagnosed with some other chronic illnesses that caused me to have to leave my job. Then my father's health took a bad turn and he is now currently awaiting a lung transplant. I ended up moving back in with my parents to save money and take care of my dad. My depression got much worse and I cut myself off from everyone but my immediate family. I started watching your videos and some other music reaction videos and I noticed they really brought me joy. When reflecting on this I realized that while I am so thankful to be here to help my parents, I missed my friends. I missed just hanging out, talking, listening to music. Getting into debates over a bands best song. Talking about what memories a certain song brings up, etc, etc. You made me see that I was just existing and that I needed my friends to help me dig out of this depression. I've recently reconnected with people that I love and I can feel that things are getting better. I don't have a job at the moment but when I do have some extra money I will definitely become a patron on your patreon channel. Thank you for what you do! You are a blessing!

I competed from 11-18 years old it kept me out of trouble my coach had a very strict code of conduct for us kids especially when we were out of town at competitions, I grew up in Northern California, closest ice rink was the Charles Shultz rink in Santa Rosa 2.5 hours away over really winding roads through Napa and Calistoga, which got snow in the winter sometimes you couldn’t get over the mountain.
