I remember when I was in my late teens / early 20s, after suffering from a particularly bad stint of depression that lasted about a year, and attempting suicide, I started listening to a lot of Queen and being blown away by just how magnificent their entire musical catalog was. It's been 15+ years since my suicide attempt, and my love and appreciation for this band gets deeper and deeper every year. It resonates so much more. This song in particular has only become that much more powerful as I get older. "Let's hope you never leave, old friend Like all good things, on you we depend So stick around, 'cause we might miss you When we grow tired of all this visual" Glad I decided to stick around all those years ago. Life has proved to be more beautiful that I could've imagined, and I look forward to the future and all the challenges that will come with it.

Got the love for Queen from my dad. This song always reminds me of how he told me that he would stay up till late at night listening to boxing matches from overseas on the radio. Back when either the TV didn't play it or you only had one at home and weren't allowed to watch it at 3 in the morning. Such a great song, and listening to the radio is still so enjoyable.

This song is so true even today, the radio indeed has yet to have its finest hour, while TV is on its way out as more and more people stream shows on their computers. Our music has changed through the years, but not for the best, as 1980s hits like this are continually celebrated, and the junk that broadcasts over the airwaves today is forgotten about and scorned upon. Freddie, you were spot on with this 1980s classic! Your legacy will never be forgotten!

I saw Bohemian Rhapsody this weekend and it was life!!!! OMG the set for Live Aid was dead on. Rami had Freddie down to a T. He's smiling down from heaven so hard, I believe that is why the sun is shining on my way to work.

@@AlexShiroki that's a great question. At first, I was a little bit disappointed because of the whole thing where Sacha Baron Cohen was originally kind of supposed to play the role. I thought he would have been perfect but of course that didn't work out. I was still a little bit disappointed though because I thought Rami doesn't look anything like him and has too small of a build to play him. I do however respect Rami Malek as an actor and I think he's great so I have warmed up to the idea of him played Freddie now, and I think he'll be pretty darn good. plus I suppose the small figure will help for the scenes that take place in Freddie's younger days as well as his ill days towards the end of his life. So in conclusion, I am now looking forward to rami's portrayal of him. :-) I am super pumped for the movie. Seriously listening to Queen everyday and watching Freddie documentaries and concert clips on KZfaq every day!

I was born in 1989, and grew up listening to Queen. My mom was obsessed. I remember being 6 years old asking my mom if we could see them. She was all sad and said no because Freddie died.... I was devastated! Just thinking about it still breaks my heart.

I was fortunate enough to see Queen in concert at the Edmonton Coliseum back in December of 1976. A concert I will never forget, what a show. On stage, Freddie was the master. Taken from us far too young. The movie really hit home, and I felt myself tear up at the end of the movie.
