Dear Mara, It's specially for you - the super Alain's fan! (see my subtitles!) Glad that you like it. Agreed that at that time, Alain's stay in Europe is best choice. (If he was borned later, say started his career in the 80s/90s, US films(scientific, action, thriller, etc) industry were at its boom. Then, it would worth moving for a more spectacular career development.) Anyways, Alain is always, forever the legend.

I would say the Hollywood deliberately gave him color and no good shots, e.g. Texas, Red Sun, avoid his glamour overload!

Americans are too full of themselves when they name Alain Delon the French James Dean. If both of them were unknown, no one would have ever put them in the same league look wise.

2300 Bryment , James Dean was iconic because he died young, I could not stand him and his acting/look was much inferior to Marlone Brando and Paul Newman. US has only one great king - Elvis Presley while Alain is the sun from France.
