A texting driver hit me head on coming over a hill in my lifted 4x4 Dodge truck. And a texting driver hit me in the rear while I was completely stopped, he was going 65 MPH. My back and legs are now screwed up for life. Please don't text and drive people.

Love the background music on this video clip..., NOTE One evening Maureen my wife and I plan an evening ride and during the ride, a dog came charging in and could not STOP so the Road King hit the dog, lucky we did not go down, it was very close anyway... the van life seems to be working out, it is a great idea I'm supporting your idea 100% eyes open in the different locations.

Your mirror probably came loose from constant vibration. HD bikes are rattlecans and those vibrations will sometimes loosen things over time. I've owned a few and my current bike a Yamaha doesn't rattle nearly as bad and still loosens a nut or two over time. I would suggest you do a check of some places on the bike every week or so for a hot second to make sure nothing has come loose. For some parts such as the mirror, you can re-tighten and use a small amount of blue thread locker to help keep them from loosening up. Blue thread locker is light-duty strength adhesive for nuts and bolts and you can still get them off easily yet it's strong enough to keep minor items such as your mirror in place.
