I spent two incredible weeks in Queenstown in April/May 1991. It really is like Heaven on Earth, absolutely amazing destination! Flew CHC/ZQN/CHC on Mount Cook Air Line Twin Otter and HS748, brilliant flights and good service! Dave Libby, Isle of Wight, England, UK.

Absolutely stunning scenery, Nature at her very best. I'm from the UK have twice visited NZ, the first time touring both North and South Islands, and stayed in Queenstown. Brings back some wonderful memories. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, Paul. Great video, scenery and music. It brings back some memories for me. In March 1980, I did a day trip from Christchurch, flying to Mt. Cook on the morning Mount Cook Airlines HS-748 flight, then a flight on a Cessna 185 skiplane, landing on the Tasman Glacier, lunch at The Hermitage and returning to Christchurch on the late afternoon HS-748. The weather was perfect so the approach and departure in the HS-748 were over the Tasman Glacier in between snowcapped peaks. Quite impressive in an aircraft of that size and a day to remember.

Im originally from Auckland, now living in Brisbane. What would life be like if i just live here, not worrying about university studies, or work, but rather just enjoying scenery every day? Wouldnt that be amazing!

@@PaulStewartAviation Yes Paul, a few of them yesterday and keep going soon ! Really nice in this point of view ! I was using a drone on spring 2017 for 2 month when i was in NZ. If you want to see some few shoot, you can look at [New Zealand - Aotearoa movie] in my KZfaq movie list ! Not so high... but not so bad i think :)

Wow my country shore put on a spectacular show for you Paul. Dispite the beauty I just can not fly in small planes. My policy no flight attendant no flight. I used to see this scenary oftern flying on the now retired Mount Cook Airlines HS748.(Two cabin crew) Days like the day you filmed are rear but so worth experience. Beautifully shot Paul.🛩️

Another good video. Shame that you did not take a Air Safaris flight on one of their twin engine 15 seater Nomads before they disappear from the Australian aviation scene. Yep, the MacKenzie Basin that includes Aoraki/Mt Cook national park is one of the beautiful areas of the South Island being a alpine desert region with is unique planet and bird life. Its is a shame the commercial dairy farming (the round green circle on the ground) is slowly polluting the region :(
