I was glad when you mentioned that people are too critical for the situation that people on dating shows are put in bc it's not just the not knowing the time, but also the fact that you can't talk to the people that know you and get advice. Like I know it's obvious but I think not having anyone on your side and just the complete lack of community to ground you and put things in perspective really means that these people are not the best versions of themselves.

ngl it’s really fascinating to see how queerness is portrayed on early 2000s reality shows and how that has changed over the years. i don’t really watch dating shows but i’ve seen weird shit on other reality shows before. for example, project runway season 2 cut out all mentions of one of the contestants being lesbian, but didn’t do anything like that for the many gay men who were on the show. it took until season 10 for there to be another out lesbian contestant on the show, which is crazy

Love is Blind Sweden made me realize that Sweden is not a country here on earth, it's definitely in other galaxy! The way men and woman behaved in that show...I swear it's so NORMAL, like people are reasonable, waay older, men are way more emotional than woman, I mean...next life I hope I come Swedish
