This movie is definitely underrated! I mean he animation is special and the music is a gem! And also take a moment to appreciate that Garrett is the first (if not the only) blind or in any way disabled protagonist in an animated movie. At least as far as I know.
@TimberlakeTigerGirl5 жыл бұрын
The title of first disabled people to be protagonists actually goes to Dopey and Doc. Dopey is mute, and his mentality is that of a child compared to the other dwarves, indicating a mental disability. Doc stutters and mixes up words frequently, which means he has speech impairment.
@scoutart15084 жыл бұрын
@@TimberlakeTigerGirl actually i wouldn't count exactly them as disabled characters, they are more like characters with funny personalities compared with some of the looney tunes
@mxriesm4 жыл бұрын
@@TimberlakeTigerGirl they meant that garrett is the first disabled male lead(?)/ *protagonist* we've seen. Doc and Dopey were treated more as side characters and were not rlly treated respectfully(?) compared to Garrett where his visual impairment was part of the movie plot and made a great impact in their story. idk just based on my observation. i had a *lil* crush on garrett since i was like 8
@ForeverSunnyy4 жыл бұрын
How about Hiccup from How to train your dragon? He’s missing a leg by the end of the first movie!
@katerinaaqu4 жыл бұрын
@@ForeverSunnyy He is not disabled throughout the movie but he loses a leg afterwards. Anyway I was mostly talking about limited senses such as sight or hearing. Missing limbs we do see in other cases too such as Treasure Planet by Disney where Silver is missing a leg an arm and an eye but it is really rare to have someone blind (perhaps we see in series like Toph but even then the blind person has extra abilities. Garrett is like the most realistically made person who turns blind after an injury to the head and navigates himself with the stick and everything)

I was looking for a live version in concert by the Corrs and Bryan White. They haven't performed this live. I want them to or make a music video. Too late. Plus, I did love the movie. Come on, people. You had former James Bond: Pierce Brosnan, former Bond girl: Jane Seymour, Cary Elwes (from the Princess Bride and Robin Hood: Men in Tights), Gary Oldman (from Harry Potter and the Dark Knight series), Eric Idle (from Monty Python and Spamalot), the late and great Don Rickles, Jaleel White (from Family Matters), and among others. You had Celine Dion, Bryan White, Steve Perry, and Andrea Corr doing the singing voices of some characters. Eric Idle and Don Rickles was funny in this movie.

I want a bond like that song describes and honestly it gives me chills till this day and there's just something about how it's put together. The instruments the vocalists, oh it's so sad to see what musics become these days it just doesnt hit the soul most of the time like it used to
