My winner was Blackwater Park, but my final bracket between Blackwater Park and The Mantle was tough since both are in my top 3 favorite albums. It also pained me to see Images & Words, Colors, Seventh Son of a Seventh Son, Storm of the Light's Bane, and Symbolic go since they're all in my top 30 favorite albums. If Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk was here, it would've won, and if Trivium - Shogun, Porcupine Tree - In Absentia, or Haken - The Mountain were here, things would get even more interesting.

I have some bracket fights between metal albums your going to love DT vs Dark Funeral Ghost vs ozzy ozborne Metallica vs Napalm death Megadeth vs corrosion of comformity 7000 dying rats vs fear factory Hatebreed vs Lamb of god Slayer vs Lord Beliel Born of Osiris vs In flames Wichery vs Cradle of filth God forbid vs Dying fetus All that remains vs Disturbed and last one Bullet for my valentine vs Atreyu have fun with these ideas Questy and keep kicking ass with the music you love !

Seriously, crazy that Questy's never heard of Helmet. I'm not even super into most metal subgenres and even I've heard of Helmet. never listened to them yet but growing up I heard of them as if they were legends. Strange world we live in.

The Ahab Album is the winner!! Best Funeral Doom Album of all time!! Number two is Still life!! My favorite Opeth Album!! As i see still life i know who will win this one!! Questy's favorite Album of all time!!

Ok, I need to go through this myself and see what wins. Cool idea, but some of these albums are just awful and make no sense. Do some more of these in the future, but leave out bands like Limp Bizkit, FFDP and Papa Roach.

It would be The Mantle as the winner for me. Actually my favorite Ahab album is Boats of The Glen Carrig. I can’t believe they had Limp Bizkit but no Mercyful Fate/King Diamond. Sinful lol!

Tool isn't metal. It's progressive rock for drug addicts in their late 40s who work as substitute math teachers in rural Iowa. Dream Theater is metal, but like Amorphis it's too cheesy, upbeat and Collective Soul-like for me. Limp Bizkit is Limp Bizkit. They're all filthy rich, have worldwide recognition and don't care what metal nerds think about them. NIN has been a bunch of different genres and "The Broken Movie" is definitely metal. The Broken Movie is darker/more aggressive than anything a black metal band could put out.
