Your decision to take Huck to LHL and give him the bell has absolutely turned his life and health around for the better, he looks and appears to be much healthier than he was at Ima Survivor, and you will know this as he is no longer standing with his head into a building and he appears to have gained weight. Lester, you and Jami always make excellent decisions. I am so proud of you and Jami for the way you always keep the water troughs clean. Now this always makes me watch other sanctuaries' water troughs and I think of you especially when I see them just topping up green-looking troughs, or they do empty the troughs but don't take the time to scrub out the green parts. You would be surprised who does this and it's people you know, they need to watch your videos so they can learn. Tex is finally enjoying his life and is no longer stressed out. It is so awesome seeing the longhorns relaxed and living the life they deserve. Beverley backing into you as she does with Jami is showing her trust and affection for you both.

I'm really concerned about Pearl. Not just because of how she looks today but because she had something hanging there since the birth. Now she could have an infection. Just my opinion, I think she needs to be seen by a vet. Also, YES MR HUCK has filled out beautifully! Such a wise choice in how you handled the goats, Lester!! I love you all! 🌺💘

I can see a difference in Huck’s appearance. He’s filling out along his spine. Love Longhorn Lester’s and all the babies! It’s awesome to see Tex and his family relaxing, something I never saw at the sanctuary.

If Pearl still has a discharge a few days after calving she may have retained some of the placenta and needs to be seen by your vet as she could have an infection. Mr Huck is starting to fill out, he's now getting a little belly on him, since you brought him to LHL's he's like a new goat, he has more energy and takes the lead (thanks to his bell) he is now top goat. I think when he was at ISS due to his hard start in life the other goats treated him as the weakest member of the pack, which expains why at times he seemed depressed and why he was often seen on his own away keeping away from the pack. LHL's has given Mr Huck a new lease of life. The mailbox looks amazing and the chap did a brilliant job on finishing the entrance off.

Pearl looks like she could have retained placenta, that would require a vet visit. I love when Beverly puts her butt on you. That means she loves you so much. 💜🙏 and yes Huckleberry lol he looks so good and seems very happy.💜

Personally, I think there's a possibility Pearl could have an infection from giving birth. I've seen first hand animals go down weeks after birth due to infection (who showed no signs of being sick, including eating, drinking, and deficating) Just another possibility to consider. But I do not know how long cow's, specifically, bleed after naturally, so... my opinion is just a grain of salt, but thought I'd share. ❤️ Love y'all ❤️

Hi Lester, I can see a difference in Mr Huck. He’s starting to have a wee belly and the gap at his far end is not as noticeable. Saying that, I think the biggest difference is in his demeanour. He is thriving at Longhorn Lesters, especially with his new found positions as head goat! He seems so much happier and livelier. No more staring at a wall on his own. You did a good thing taking him there 😊

Yes Mr Huck is filling out nicely and his confidence has grown as well with him being the 'leader of the pack'. When my son used to grumble about having to change the dogs and cats waters I used to say to him that the animals couldn't get their own drink of nice clean water like he could. He used to think about it for a moment and say I was right. We used to put ice cubes in their water on our really hot humid tropical days.

Giving Mr. Huck the bell has given him confidence and resulted in better physical and mental health. Your LHL property looks so beautiful, clean and peaceful. ❤️

So concerning Pearl, I had a dog who had puppies and after about a week she was still having a bloody discharge. She ended up having a pyometra and had to have an emergency spay. If I’m not mistaken the same thing can happen to cattle. Check into it yourself. Check with your vet. I don’t know that it’s life threatening for cows as it is for dogs but I think it can cause infertility. Another thing I noticed is that Santianna looks nice and white and Pearl looks dirty making me think she is not feeling well and not keep up with her grooming.

Lester pearls issue, is definitely a retained placenta and it would be a good idea to have the vet come out. They will have to give her antibiotics and take care of that issue.💕

Please get the vet to come look at Pearl. She's had a piece of what looks to be retained placenta hanging out of her since she had Jolene! I saw one video where she was trying to remove it and another video where one of you gave an attempt to grab it, but she wouldn't let you. If it is retained placenta she could go down quickly if it has become infected. Huck looks great and love the new mailbox!

Huck looks better than I've ever seen him look. He is really feeling at home. He's not the "underdog" any more. Lester, I agree with you 100 percent. I worry about my service dog getting what he needs to hydrate himself, so much, that I made a decision about 2 years ago. I don't leave a bowl of water just sitting on the floor. I bought a couple of doggie water bottles (yep, they are truly doggie water bottles) And taught him to ask for water whenever he wants it. By doing this, I know that he always has cool, clean water. He doesn't ask any one else for water or for anything else he might want. People get frustrated because my service dog won't respond in any way to anyone except me. I think its hilarious that people are jealous of me and my service dog! It's actually pretty ridiculous! If they needed a medical alert dog, they wouldn't want it to be any less than Samson and me. Go figure! I have had people be jealous of me for a million other things; but never would I have believed it if someone had told me that people would be jealous of my relationship with my service dog! He is happier, that everybody can see. Tex doesn't need another female at this point, he's pretty calm and relaxed for now. I don't see why you can't wait until the grass proves to produce enough. Beverly 😀. Pearl might still have baby stuff stuck, ask Jami about vet or not. The eye thing grossed me out but yes absolute trust in that. Clean fresh water is best..if I won't drink it, I won't let my cats drink it. Plus that yucky water can help the grass. Win-win!
