SHARING OUR DREAM WITH YOU
This channel is all about the adventures, hard work, and farm lifestyle chosen by two city kids who wanted live the dream of modern farming, while preserving the quality of life found in traditional home cooking and living off the land.
Nestled in the fertile, mountain valleys of Utah, Ballerina Farm is named after Hannah, a former Miss New York City and graduate of the Juilliard School of Dance. Daniel is a history major and now holds his MBA to guide the ever-growing business. The children are wild, hardworking, and homeschooled by their mother as they learn to farm, rodeo, dance, and grow barefoot and free.

12K is a steal for that beautiful stove and well worth it! Thank you for this Q&A. It is always easy for others to sit back and believe that everything is handed to someone who has success in life. I love the story Daniel told of his family sitting at the dinner table and it was common for them to talk about business and how it works. Just on a side note, I ordered a Ballerina Farm meat box for my husband for Christmas last year and everything was delicious! Even the pastries and cookies. Oh my! That will be a tradition, for sure. I would subscribe, but we live rural and are blessed to have a nice mennonite meat farm nearby where we purchase our meat.

I appreciate how upfront you are about the value of your things! It frustrates me to see people offended that things are "unattainable", and it frustrates me when people refuse to disclose to cost of what they have. Being upfront about the monetary and time costs of your lifestyle empowers people to set concrete goals and determine exactly what steps to take to achieve whatever they desire to be, do, or have.
@bluesky7288

Besides the ridiculous cost of the stove, what other costs did they refer too?
@meganrichter9748
@meganrichter9748 19 күн бұрын
@@bluesky7288 they listed the costs of the stove itself, installation, and operation. This is great because it enables anyone interested in that kind of stove to negotiate a bonus at work, cut back spending in a certain category, or pursue a short term side job to generate that much extra income. Anyone interested in that kind of stove now knows just how much expendable income to dedicate each month to operating that stove, and they can take that number and use it to negotiate their salary with their current or future employer. Of course you would find the cost ridiculous if you don't see the value in it. Perhaps you don't live somewhere cold or don't spend much time cooking, or perhaps you have a different sense of style or interior design preferences. Different things bring joy to different people. If something brings joy to you, it's kind to empower people to achieve that thing for themselves. You don't need to like the stove to appreciate that these people are empowering others to pursue their goals.

I appreciate how Daniel explained that growing up, talks around the dinner table were about how to start a business, etc. We desperately need to become more entrepreneurial minded here in America. I love your AGA cooker and it's so rare to see them these days! I sold AGA cookers in North America for several years, and still cook with one (Claret color) that was installed new in 1997 and it's still running strong. But yours is older than mine! One year I earned the title of North America's #1 AGA cooker sales person for selling the most new cookers. They were built to last a lifetime and then some. People invest in them knowing that the stove will outlive them, and they will never have to replace it. Yes, AGA was not the easiest company to work with, though the traditional AGA is a workhorse and I loved selling them because I was sold on it myself! And yes, even though the AGA is forgiving (I cooked a pie over an hour and it was still okay), I used to bake by smell. That's not possible with the AGA. The general rule of thumb I used to tell new AGA owners was to check whatever you're cooking in about 1/2 the normal time. Chances are it won't be done, but that will help you determine how much longer to cook it. One lady in California who baked every day told me that her gas bill actually decreased after her AGA installation because with the AGA, there's no preheating, it's always ready, as you stated. She had to preheat her Wolf stove every day to bake, which is why the Wolf consumed more gas than the AGA.

Worth to watch! Did not know what to think about Ballerina Farm, the creator, Misses World, etc. but open to hearing the story behind it. It shows married people working together on building their family, home, and business. It sounds humble, reflective, honest, and very natural. And they talk with and to each other in such a loving way. Also, the comment about how many kids and why answered with Kids can change the world and community to the better... I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We have similar values about family and believe in the divine role of motherhood. It doesn’t mean women can’t do other things of course but I am beyond grateful for a fellow Christian stating what he believes. This country was founded on freedom of religion and its tragic people of faith are being ridiculed in today’s society. Thank you for your example and strength Harrison. God bless you.

LOVE ballerina farm! I live in a beach city & they both inspire me to start farming but it’s a challenge when you live in the city. So for now I will stick with making sourdough & other breads… Also everyday America is losing a lot of farmers so the fact that they are going from city kids to a farming family is almost unheard of! I think it’s awesome & what a great story! Both of their Instagrams are fun to follow, they should have a reality show but they probably have exposed enough of their personal life already. I absolutely love & envy that they get to harvest their own food & dairy. The food from the grocery stores now a days have so many preservatives & steroids & ingredients that I have no idea what they are. So it’s very cool & really healthy that they know exactly where their food source is coming from!
