I used to be a young earther when I was a young believer but now I'm an old earther, but in the end it really doesn't matter I think wether it's true or false because we weren't there when God "created" , and I'm thankful to RTB for your great minds, and the older I get the more assured I become of the fact that we're not here by accident so until I see you guys up there or in the air, I'll be praying for you all. God bless.

I've learned to "Fear Not" because my faith in Jesus is based on Truth, and in the end our knowledge of our Savior & creator will never be at odds with science if both are understood correctly--for He is the author & Creator of everything that exists in our temporal universe.

Keller explains it best. Genesis 1 is a poem and genesis 2 is the actual account. The point of genesis is not “how” but it is meant to point us to “Who”. Jesus points to a literal Adam, so I believe Jesus. Thank you so much Dr Rana for all your work. You’ve gotten me to a point where none of these discoveries EVER shake my faith, it only shows me how amazing the triune God has been at work for so many years!!

A recent discovery of an Egyptian mummy was dated to be 250,000 years old. It matches the RTB model in regards to location. Mummification and the burial of the dead is akin to human behavior. Was the dating done incorrectly? I want to know how it fits into the RTB model. Big fan!

Thanks Fuz, I understood you just fine (for an informed laymen), Dates are very important to me, I do hold to the biblical point of view and it is my understanding that all humanity lived together in one location until the Tower of Babel event but I keep hearing of evidence for modern humans in the way of cave art, pottery and tools as far back as 35,000 years ago discovered in Spain etc. I can only push the Tower of Babel event back so far. How accurate are these dates of modern humans outside of the Tower event location? another question might be is , did ALL humans live together, were there no migrations before the Tower event (perhaps frontiersmen)?

I want to compliment you and your studies pertaining to Gods' Word and showing how science and scripture do support each other. I have been conducting research and studies similar to yours' for a long time. It is amazing how close my findings are with yours. The main difference is that I believe Adam was created 6,000 years ago and the Hominids God created were a prototype of Adam. It should also be noted that studies show Neanderthal became extinct about 40,000 years ago probably from the supervolcano the erupted at about that time. It has also been found that 12,900 years ago a series of comets struck the earth with many exploding in the atmosphere killing many large mammals. One of the impacts, dating to that time, was found on the west coast of Greenland. These events caused the extinction of many large mammals which could have included the so-called Homosapiens, many of which dwelt on the American Continents such as the Clovis people. It appears that at the creation of Adam all hominids had been eradicated from the planet. That would have left the planet open for the pure line of Adam and his descendants. From a study of science, Earths’ historical past, and scriptures, I am strongly convinced that God created all life, starting with the single-celled algae called Cyanobacteria. They took in toxic gasses, from early asteroid bombardments in the creation of our planet, then produced a waste gas called oxygen which eventually oxygenated our planet for future life. God then progressively created more complex life forms as needed with each contributing to the creation of Earths' surface for men’s use today. The last animal forms to be created before modern man was the Hominids such as Neanderthal and Homosapien. I believe these Hominids were a prototype of Gods’ final creation, us. We are not descendants of these hominids, but descendants of Gods’ final creation Adam. I believe that every created life form reproduced after its’ own kind just as God said and DNA insures. Maybe we should call our species Homoadamos. The main difference between Adam and any of the hominids was that Adam had a connection with God and was able to understand and communicate with God as his Creator and Lord. Aside from that, all other functions and abilities were the same as God's last creation, the Hominids. I would appreciate your opinion on this.

Hello Dr. Rana! I You mentioned that those evidence is being interpreted basing on the worldview once has. But my question is, which interpretation is highly probable. given the evidence seems to suggest that those hominins seem to display also characteristics of human beings like burial, artwork in caves, etc. and even at one point seem to have interbred with us, yet the Scriptures say that animals have to produce only "after their own kind"?

I personally do not hold the Young Earth Creationism. God is timeless and space less. Besides, many evidences point out the Earth is at least a billion years old. The Creation account is of course true but not literal.

I really wish RtB would just embrace Neanderthals, and Denisovans as humans. The idea that God created mere beasts that were so similar to humans (anatomically, biologically, and culturally), to the point of being able to breed with us, is just absurd.

This video states that the various references in the Misliya-1 study, to "Modern Human" are really referring to H. sapiens, and not to H. sapiens sapiens - anatomically modern humans (AMH). It is further stated that what the research data is really indicating is that the fossil represents a "Near Modern Human." The proper classification is important both to science and Christian theology, so I emailed Prof. Israel Hershkovitz, co-author of the study, and asked where the numerous references to "Modern Human" in the study related to Near Modern Humans, H. sapiens, or H. sapiens sapiens (AMH), and whether the data supports the relevant classification. He replied confirming that the use of the term "Modern Human" in the research paper refers to H. sapiens sapiens (AMH), and that the fossil data supports that classification. I encourage RTB to do what I did, and contact the Professor or his colleagues directly, to clarify any details that might challenge the RTB Human Origins Model.

RTB addresses this in some of their books. In the book "A Matter of Days" it explains that the Hebrew words for father and son (ab and ben) have broader definitions than the English translation indicates. Ab can refer to father, grandfather, great grandfather, great great grandfather, etc. Likewise Ben can mean son, grandson, great grandson and so on. We see this in the book of Daniel where Belshazzar's mother refers to Nebadchadnezzar as her son's father, though in fact two kings separate them and they are not biologically related. This also explains why parallel genealogies may vary (1 Chron 3, Matt 1, Luke 3).

It could be that Genesis 1 Mankind and Genesis 2 Adam and Eve are two different creation events. Certain evidences: The two read like different events with different purposes. Mankind seems to have been created on the sixth day. Adam and Eve at the end of the sixth/beginning of the seventh. Cain had no sister to marry, and who were the people he was afraid might kill him?? And who was going to occupy the city he would build?? Cain plus his wife and son?? And who was going to help him build it?? Cain plus his wife and son?? Lamech tells his wives that if Cain would be avenged seven times then he would be avenged seventy seven times. This could be because Lamech's wives came from the same people that Cain was afraid might kill him Lamech would have wanted his wives to relay the message to their people. The sons of God that marred the daughters of men could be what Cain and other men from Adam did. Marrying women from the people outside the garden, just as Cain and Lamech. Lastly. I don't think that God would be the author of the largest action of incest in recorded history. They would have had to marry sisters, brothers, mothers, fathers, nieces, nephews, cousins, etc.
