Do y'all plan on making more videos about the Mongols. Specifically, the alternate invasion of Europe.

knights dont do much against horse archers since they shoot the horse and the horse are not usually armored with plate. Plus in fact mongols had a very high number of armored cavalry, instead of the stereotyped light cavalry

Giorgio, i feel like one big i guess "problem" with trying to unite the Christendom realm against the Mongels is that, if they ever captured any Christians in the service of the Mongol army, is how do they react to the fact that life was generally less troublesome, to put it in the best way i can think of, to those of differing faiths, even before Orthodoxy became really "mainstream" among the Eastern Rus' realms, where they could learn immensely from various cultures all around the empire, things that would've been light years ahead of what most European kingdoms had at that point tl;dr: how do cultures, religion, technology, and genetics change cause of this campaign

We saw religion play a small part in the initial stage of this campaign with the Old Prussians joining the Mongol ranks against the Teutons who were trying to convert them for decades. But beyond that there are 3 crucial factors that will become very relevant as we move forward: #1 What happens to Christianity if the Mongols make it down to Rome and tear it down, possibly alongside the Pope in a similar manner of what happened to Baghdad in our timeline? #2 The Albigensian Crusade 1209-1229 was pretty much a genocide against one of the most wealthy and prosperous regions in France. However the mountain strongholds and recent scars would allow for a significant chunk of Cathars to aid the Mongols if given the chance. #3 Louis IX, leader of the strongest semi-unified state at the time was a devout Christian and close friends with Innocent IV, so how would he respond to this crusade and the idea that a heathen army was moving against Rome itself? I hope I get to do an aftermath episode discussing the great points you brought up, but it is difficult for me to do that now without spoiling the ended. Thank you for your feedback!

@@georgekolev9832 you do make some valid points, and i hope we see like some sort of hybridization of like Tengri and Christianity or Confusciounism and Christianity, since most religions over time do tend to sort of create a fusion offspring of two other religions, kind of like how in Europa Universalis 4, if you play in India near the Timurids, you can get the option to go Sikh, though obviously this is alternate history we're talking about, i'll leave that to you all to figure that stuff out

The only way to beat mongols were : Tsunami (God's intervention), Mongolian Mothers telling to not do it (for millenaries) and mongols themselves (civil wars).

Incorrect, the army included some Arabs and Armenians but it was mostly composed of Mongols. And Kitbuqa was in control of the majority of Syria before the battle.

@@17-MASY what a shame to shout a victory against a garrison army leaded by unexperienced garrison captain. Lol. No honor here.

@@asianooasia6719 It wasn't a garrison army and he wasn't an inexperienced leader. You just want to downplay the Mongol defeat.
