I wanted to say something in response to the penultimate question you answered. I feel that recently, the last year or so, your content has been the most genuine. I have followed you for years. There were a lot of girls around my age I began to follow in high school as I learned about grooming and beauty and how to best appreciate my own beauty; by consuming content from people who look like me (re: brown girls with poofy hair). As years progressed and and I became more comfortable with myself, I stopped watching and unfollowed quite a few because I could feel the struggle they were in and it was affecting my view of myself. In the past year I began to check back in on a lot of those channels, some were doing so much better mentally that I began watching again, you are one of them. It truly brings me joy to see you living like this. I know there can be a lot of pitfalls to parasocial relationships when you become overly invested but I’m really enjoy your recent content and hope it continues. Edit: P.s. I really agree with your advice on the person who wants to break up with their partner! The worst thing you can do is stay complacent in a situation you know you need to change in. Because not only are you going to be dealing with the regret of not doing what you wanted to do but you’re also gonna resent the people you stayed for (which by the sounds of the question the person is already starting to enter that phase). The boyfriend deserves to be in a relationship with someone who is fully committed to it and the person deserves to have the space to deal with the issues they are having. Obviously communication will be needed but honestly it’s not fair to him if you aren’t fully showing up for him. If it’s meant to be they’ll find their way back to each other.

If you do end up going to D.R I use to live there and I recommend you to go to the campo. Most people like going to Punta Cana and La Romana but going to the other provinces like Santiago de Los caballeros, San Pedro de macoris, Higüey, etc those are the places that the actual fun will be. But also be aware that it’s wayyyyyyyyy different for foreigners. And I don’t recommend people that don’t speak Spanish or go with anyone who does to go into these local places.

this is probably difficult for someone to answer but i’m just gonna vent, do you think not feeling beautiful or not being seen as beautiful during your teenage years has negative impacts on our lives going forward? i’m about to turn 17 and i’ve never been pursued in a way that wasn’t purely sexual or fetishistic. sometimes i feel like people won’t actually see my as beautiful when i’m older and i maybe i’ll end up undervaluing myself if i get in relationships in the future.
