Jāvēd Ahmed Ghāmidī (Urdu: جاوید احمد غامدی) (born April 7, 1952) is a Pakistani Muslim theologian, Quran scholar, Islamic modernist, exegete and educationist. He is also the founding President of Al-Mawrid Institute of Islamic Sciences and its sister organisation Danish Sara.
He became a member of the Council of Islamic Ideology (responsible for giving legal advice on Islamic issues to the Pakistani Government and the country's Parliament) on 28 January 2006, where he remained for a couple of years. He also taught Islamic studies at the Civil Services Academy for more than a decade from 1979 to 1991. He was also a student of Islamic scholar and exegete, Amin Ahsan Islahi. He is running an intellectual movement similar to Wasatiyyah, on the popular electronic media of Pakistan. Currently he is Principal Research Fellow and Chief Patron of Ghamidi Center of Islamic Learning in United States. Javed Ahmad Ghamidi was named in The Muslim 500 (The World's Most Influential Muslims) in the 2019, 2020 and 2021 editions.
Javed Ahmed Ghamidi was born as Muhammad Shafique (Later he renamed himself as Javed Ghamdi)on 7 April 1952 to a Kakazai family in a village called Jiwan Shah, Arifwala in (District Pakpattan), Punjab, Pakistan. His family village settlement was Dawud in Sialkot. His father, Muhammad Tufayl Junaydi, was a landowner, involved in medicine and a committed follower of tasawwuf until his death in 1986.
Ghamidi and his two elder sisters grew up in a Sufi household. His early education included a modern path (matriculating from Islamia High School, Pakpattan), as well as a traditional path (Arabic and Persian languages, and the Qur'an with Nur Ahmad of Nang Pal). His father wanted him to have both traditional and modern education, splitting his time between school and learning Arabic and Persian.
Ghamidi's conclusions and understanding of Islam, including the Sharia, has been presented concisely in his book Mizan with the intention of presenting the religion in its pure shape, cleansed from tasawwuf, qalam, fiqh, all philosophies and any other contaminants.
Ghamidi's non-traditionalist approach to the religion has parted him from the conservative understanding on a large number of issues. However, Ghamidi argues that his dissenting conclusions are at times based on traditional foundations set by classical scholars.[citation needed] In his arguments, there is no reference to the Western sources, human rights or current philosophies of crime and punishment. Nonetheless, employing the traditional Islamic framework, he reaches conclusions which are similar to those of Islamic modernists and progressives on the subject.

One should understand that Science has its limitations. It can tell one that how to construct a nuclear weapon but is silent to questions like if one should construct it or use it in warfare. The universe works according to physical laws. The question: have these laws evolved randomly?

I am sharing my experience related to second question about prophet Abraham PBUH.When I was a medical student .I used to study The holy Quran with Tabadur I requested Allah to show me some miracle as YOU showed to Prophet Abraham PBUH and I said that there is no comparison between me and he but I request YOU,Same question came to me that you don’t believe in HIM .I said of course I do but I want for my satisfaction theme I saw some miracles in Sky that light is coming from sky to earth and the earth was illuminated many times during my tahajud praying and it ended before fajar times . Thanks Allah.I am an ordinary Muslim nothing more . When I knew one Hadith that our prophet Mohammed PBUH said that he remembers Allah by himself when he is awake and when he used to sleep his heart remember HIM .I prayed to Allah how his heart is remembering YOU while he was sleeping. Alhamdolilah it was revealed to me when I was praying Duhur with Jamait. Palpitations strayed in my heart ❤️ with recitation Lailaalahillalalh from my heart, I became afraid that I will die and requested that I am weak and I can’t tolerate this situation and it went . Again I am affirming that I am an ordinary Muslim . Please remember me in your Dua.May Allah forgives and guides us .Ameen

No he don't address in English but his stuff is translated into English by his prominent student Shehzad Saleem Sahib. Recently they launched Qur'an Translation of Ghamidi sb in English. Ghamidi Sahb's Book Meezan is available in English as well with other books. You can check the English stuff on Application Named Ghmaidi. Almost all stuff of his has been translated into English but not the videos. Perhaps, Shehzad Saleem Sahib has does some work in English which you can check out on his channel: youtube.com/@shehzadsaleem

Cosmic emery,that is holding everything in the universe in balance..then who made that "everything" (matter) ..is it k at the time of creation of universe there was only one combined powerful energy that split itself into matter and the cosmic energy..then this energy couldn't be cosmic energy God as the one who split itself into two (now energy+matter for the creation of universe..) this energy who at the time of big bang had to divide itself ..this canoot be God .i think .it must be energy or God higher than cosmic energy (can be called father of cosmic energy)is one who created the cosmic energy and all the matter in the universe ...i think this is more intellectually acceptable....I don't know if my statement makes sense ..but if anyone understand..plz comment 😢

اللہ تعالی کے وجود کے لیے بحث لا حاصل ہے ۔ ظن یعنی امکان کا حوالہ صحیح دیا گیا ہے۔ اللہ کا پیغام ہوشمند انسان کے لیے ہے۔ عقل سے ماورا تمام اشیاء اور واقعات امکانی حیثیت کے حامل ہیں ۔ اللہ کا وجود Existence of GOD ' قران تورات کا کلام اللہ ہونا ' برزخ ' حشر ' جنت ' دوزخ ' ملئکہ وغیرہ کا تعلق امکان سے ہے۔ قران کریم میں اللہ کے وجود کے اثبات کے لیے صرف ایک ایت ائی ہے ' جسے ہمارے مولوی برھان قاطع کہ کر مجمعوں کو گرماتے رہتے ہیں۔ سورہ البقرہ ایہ 258 ۔ سیدنا ابراہیم کا بادشاہ سے مکالمہ۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔ میرا رب سورج کو مشرق سےلاتا ہے ( اگر تو ہی رب ہے تو) سورج کو مغرب سے لا کے دکھا۔قران کے الفاظ میں بادشاہ اس سوال پر ہکا بکا رہ گیا ( لاجواب ہو گیا )۔ غالب امکان یہ ہے کہ بادشاہ نے اس موقع پر سیدنا ابراہیم سے ایمان لانے کے لیے ایک مطالبہ کیا ہو گا جسے قران نے ہذف کر دیا ۔ یہ ایت اہل ایمان کےلیے ایک بڑی ازمائش ہے۔ غور کرکے وہ مطالبہ معلوم کر لیجیے۔ دراصل ایمان کا معنی قبول کر لینا یا مان جانا ہے۔ یقین کرنا نہیں۔ قبول کرو اور اس کے مطابق عمل کرو "امنوا و اعملوا " ۔ یقین اور محبت انسانی بس کی چیزیں نہیں ہیں لہذا ان کا مطالبہ بھی نہیں کیا گیا۔ عمل کرنے والے مومنین " متقین " کہلاتے ہیں ( قران کریم کی کثیر تعداد ایات کے مطابق متقین ہی جنت کے مکین اور وارث ہیں ) اور اس راہ پر چل کر وہ اس منزل پر پہنچ جاتے ہیں ' جہاں یہ سب امکانات اور گمانات یقین کا درجہ پا لیتے ہیں ۔ اس مقام پر مومن کے لیے " محسن " کا لقب ایا ہے ' انبیاء ' صدیقین اور شہداء کا یہ مقام ہے۔ اللہ پر یقین کا اظہار وہ کرتے ہیں۔ لیکن اللہ سے محبت کا دعوی صدیقین اور شہداء نہیں کیا کرتے ' ان کے اعمال و کردار کے مشاہدے کی وجہ سے لوگ ان کی اللہ سے سچی محبت کی گواہی دیتے ہیں ۔ کسی بھی مومن کے لیے قطعی نامناسب ہے کہ وہ اللہ تعالی اور رسول اللہ ص سے محبت کا دعوی کرے ۔ اگر وہ ایسا کرے تو دراصل وہ یہ اعلان کر رہا ہوتا ہے کہ " میں نے اللہ کی اطاعت اور رسول کی اطاعت کا حق ادا کر دیا ہے "۔ ربنا اغفر لنا و ارحمنا و انت خیر الرحمین۔ اسلام کے لیے (بغیر کسی لالچ کے ) جان دینا مومن کے لیے بہت بڑا عمل ہے ' یہ اس صورت میں بڑا عمل ہے کہ ایک مومن نے سوچ سمجھ کر اسلام پر عمل کی باقائدہ منصوبہ بندی کرکے یہ طے کر لیا ہو کہ اسلام پر عمل میں کوتاہی نہیں کی جائے گی ( اگر اپنے ظالم بھائی ' باپ یا بیٹے کے خلاف گواہی دینے کی نوبت ا جا ئے تو بھی اللہ کے حکم کے سامنے سر تسلیم خم رہے گا ۔ اور گواہی دے کر مظلوم کو حق دلوایا جائے گا ) ' اللہ تعالی کے حکم اور پسند کے سامنے اس کی ہر خواہش ' پسند ' ترجیح ' مفاد اور رشتہ' تعلق وغیرہ فنا ہو چکا ۔ یہی اشھد ان لا الہ الا اللہ و اشھد ان محمدا عبدہ و رسولہ ہے اور اس عہد پر قائم رہنے والا موت کی جس کیفیت سے بھی دوچار ہو جائے ' وہ شہید ہے کیوں کہ اس نے عمل اور کردار سے اپنی شہادت ( گواہی ) ثابت کر دی۔ کوئی مومن دوسرے مومن کے لیے شہادت کے مقام کا تعین نہیں کر سکتا۔ اللہ ' اللہ کے نبی اور رسول ہی کسی کو شہید یا صدیق قرار دیتے ہیں ۔ قران میں ظلم ' فساد اور کفر کے خلاف لڑتے ہوئے جان دینے والے کے لیے شہید کی اصطلاح نہیں ائی ہے بلکہ "اللہ کی راہ کا مقتول " کہا گیا ہے ۔ دراصل شہید وہ ہے جو زندگی کے ہر معاملے میں اپنے عہد یعنی کلمہ شہادت کا عملی نمونہ بن جائے ۔ کسی دفتر کا چپراسی ' افیسر ' تاجر ' محنت کش ' فوجی ' حادثاتی یا بستر پر اسودہ موت سے ہم کنار ہونے والا ہر صالح مومن شہادت کا درجہ پاسکتا ہے کلمہ شہادت اللہ کے ساتھ ایک عہد کا اظہار ہے۔ یہی سب سے بڑا ذکر اور عمل ہے ۔ ارکان ( اعمال ) اسلام میں یہ پہلا رکن ہے۔ صبح ' شام اس کی تجدید کرنا چاہیے ۔ یا ایھا الذین امنوا اذ کروا اللہ ذکرا کثیرا ○ و صبحواہ بکرتہ و اصیلا ○ " اے اہل ایمان اللہ کو بہت یاد کیا کرو ( اللہ کے ساتھ اپنے عہد کو یاد کیا کرو ) ○ صبح ' شام اسے دہریا کرو" ○ سورہ لاحزاب ایات 41 ' 42۔ اللہ کے ذکر سے مراد اس کے حضور ا کر اس کی تعریف ' شکر ' گناہ یا کمزوری کا اقرار کرنا اور مغفرت مانگنا اور سب سے بڑھ کر اپنے عہد کو یاد رکھنا ہے۔ ذکر محض لا الہ الا اللہ کہنا نہیں ہے ۔ قران مجید پڑھنا بھی تب ثواب ہے جب اللہ کاحکم اور منشاء معلوم کرکے اس پر عمل کرنا مقصود ہو۔ قران کا حفظ اس مومن کے لیے ثواب کا کام ہے جو قران کو سمجھتا بھی ہو اور عمل صالح کی منصوبہ بندی کر رکھی ہو ۔ ربنا اغفر لنا و لاخواننا الذین سبقونا با لایمان ولا تجعل فی قلوبنا غلا للذین امنوا ربنا انک روف رحیم ۔ اللھم صل و سلم و بارک علی رسولنا محمد و علی المومنین والمومنات و علی المرسلین انک حمید مجید ۔ امام مکرم جاوید احمد غامدی کے( زمانوں بعد ) احیاء اسلام کےدور میں جینا ہماری عظیم خوش بختی ہے ( اختلاف کا امکان رہے گا )۔ الحمد للہ۔ سبحن اللہ و بحمدہ سبحن اللہ العظیم ۔ رب ھب لنا حکما و الحقنا بالصلحین " اے ہمارے رب ہمیں عقل و شعور عطا فرمائیے اور ہمیں نیک لوگوں سے ملا دیجیے "۔ دعاء ابراہیم سے ماخوذ سورہ الشعراء۔
