i keep shopping what i see and feel like i love but i end up hating how they look on me! then they sit in my closet n i never use it. why?! what do i do to make it work for me. is my personal style just wat looks good on me?

@@aquababygal i have the exact same problem! i realized that i liked the persons body or face - so in my interpretation it didn’t look so flattering. if you have a different body type or even proportion to your body it completely changes the way the clothes look (know your body type and how to style it, focus on parts you want to highlight - wide rib cage go for big pants etc.) so i started questioning if i would still like the item if it would be on unattractive person and majority of the times the answer was no. (don’t forget to consider if the item doesn’t fit you or if it’s just tailored to the models body! brands are shady and do that very often!) also it’s completely normal to appreciate and adore different styles that you wouldn’t normally wear. maybe you just like the general vibe of the clothes on others but for yourself you choose something different. try writing down pieces you like in general (not necessarily the ones you own), vibe you want to give off, colors that compliment you. take in consideration of the climate and weather - do you need 4 season clothing or just 2? are you pants or dress type? flats, high heels or sneakers? are more practical that stylish? when you write all of that down it will be easier for you to choose the perfect pic. maybe you realize that you are not having significant style and you are more basic, in that case you can use accessories to level up your outfit.
