I was excited from the start (00.01) at seeing the ranat ek (a Thai xylophone) --- and WOW --- what great singing! More and more, modern musicians and rockers around the world are incorporating their country's unique vocal techniques and instruments into their music, and I love it. (E.g., Bukhu Ganburged in "The Voice Australia" this year employed polyphonic singing while playing a morin khur, the traditional Mongolian horse-head fiddle favored also by the popular heavy metal band, The HU.) Every performance in this list of rockin' auditions is a winner! 🤘 👍

@@GingerAlex82 As I wrote, the morin khur is favored ALSO by The HU, meaning that both Bukhu Ganburged AND the heavy metal Mongolian band employ the same sort of instrument. I like both styles of music very much.

I love rock and metal music in general but I miss amount of big technique and range needed in heavy metal or hard rock in 70s & 80s. Nowadays singers are not that impressive if we talk about mainstream rock.

@@ExecutorCR it certainly helps the fact he is not actually singing live, but actually lip syncing a version he recorded due to technical dificulties of Turkish's version of the voice.

Chris is one of my favourite singers and my favourite from 90s. I cannot imagine listening to rock and metal without Soundgarden:D And of course without my favourite longplay from grunge era, Temple of the dog.

How about those stratospherically high notes…YES!! -Killing in the name; dude has an excellent frontman persona, a lead in a rock band. Lots of great ones in this clip: -Crazy On You; OH WOW! To play guitar AND sing like that…not easily done. -Maniac by Daredevils; made me wish I was young again. 😅 Really enjoying this video, THANKS

So many hard songs to sing in this edition, Crazy on you, Killing in the name of, Ghost Walking, Show me how to live, Highway to hell, She's gone, November rain, so many unique rock voices, really challenging to sing, congrats on both the courage and rendition.

Funny how the older I get, the greater my attraction to Rock! Today's newer bands and "The Voice" vocalists seem to be more tonally and lyrically inclined, without losing the gut-punching power and rhythmic innovations that marked the '70s and '80s. This collection is arguably the very best Quichotte compilation yet! 🤘 🤩 🎵 🤘

Right now, I'm listening to The HU, a relatively new "Hunnu rock" band from Ulaanbaatar, but whose concerts, even here in Texas, always sell out quickly; Sweden's Sabaton and Germany's Rammstein, of course; and I continue to follow FFDP (Five Finger Death Punch), Slipknot, SOAD (System of a Down), Megadeath, and a few other fairly well known metal bands, as well. Seeing new talents on "The Voice" of various countries test their own _metal_ is always a treat!
