I personally dont agree with shopping at outlets for one of the reasons you mentioned. Companies produce clothes specifically for outlets which means its really not the same. Most of the quality and styles at outlets are bad.

Get a sewing machine, and learn how to sew. It is an investment. Rather than going to tailor everytime you need to tailor something, do it yourself, it will save you money in the long run

@DotA TV same with me, and everyone who just started. I watched withwendy for most of the tutorial of how to thread the needle, basic stitches and etc. And I watch a lot of random youtube videos on how to hem, taper, and basic taloring. It can be pretty intimidating at first. I recommend buying thrift stores for your first couple of project, before jumping into more expensive items. That way you'll have a better understanding and most of all, the confidence to do it.

H&N clothing is seriously crap, the materials are so cheap, everything I bought from there is only good for one wash. Outlet malls mark things up, they like to convey that products there are discounted but they're usually marked up! You'll find then in touristy areas just waiting to gouge customers.
