Love these butterflies. My aunt used to make something similar to sell at church bazaars . She used to use pipe cleaners for the antenna and put a magnet on the back to use as fridge magnets.

Oh Crystal! This tutorial came at the perfect time. Our dear friends’ 4 year old daughter just lost her battle with pontocerebellar hypoplasia on Saturday and the community is doing a fundraiser and celebration of life for her later this month. I am going to whip up a bunch of these butterflies in honor of her, calling them “Harper’s Butterflies”, and try to raise some money for the family. Thank you so much for sharing this tutorial 💜

Thank you for the turorial crystal, my mom recently passed away and her nick name was mariposa (butterfly) and I was thinking of a way to make my sisters a little remembrance of some sort, but now after seeing this video I think maybe a throw for each so that way they if they need a little warmth they can think of her giving them a hug. I mean we can buy anything now a days but making something from my heart and it seems like something my momma would do for her family. She was pretty crafty. Thanks again this made my heart happy

I'll make loads of these to put on my Christmas decorations and I'll put a clip on them that will mean the recipients can use them on their Christmas tree afterwards. I use brown paper as gift wrap because it's recyclable so my gifts need a bit extra to make them cute, at least in my opinion. Thanks for the pattern. It's really pretty.

You can even glue magnet to him and put on fridge. I remember seeing crocheted butterflies as a kid on refrigerators with pipe cleaner antennae. These are adorable.

My mom loved butterflys! I learned to crochet in 2013 after I lost her suddenly right before Christmas 2012. I got all her yarn and needles❤ I wanted to carry on her talent. Her urn is covered in butterflies. SO im going to make some butterflies to put/lay around her!

i made the pumpkin hat for all the participants where my girl works. i just finished one for a volunteer there. so kind of her. i want some small flowers to put in my girls hair. this butterfly is lovely and not too difficult. my arthritis is making it a challenge but I love it so.

Love the butterflies also you can put a magnet on the back. Refrigerate magnet to hold notes. Along with so many more ideas you have. A baby mobile to. ❤🤗
