This is how I carve items for sale, quickly, and earn money from my hobby! I show you how to do this too.
This only takes a few minutes, and BAM you will have a very nice wood spirit you can sell, or give as a gift.

Nice work! You are correct that you need to finish quickly to make money. To speed things up even faster, try using a powered rotary tool like a dremel.

Yes, some tools are so bad, they hardly will take a good sharpening. A small, select number of quality tools is a good choice, maybe.

You don't need to buy fancy tools to carve, it's all in the sharpening stones that you use.

I have been getting into carving, could you possibly tell me a price range that these types /size wood spirits sell for?

the smaller ones sell easily for about..... $20 to $30 DEPENDING on where you sell it..... selling at a fine art gallery sells for far more than at a flea market. But it is the same carving....... weird, huh? I can carve about 4-6 of these per hour when I'm motivated..... that's a quick $150 per hour. WOW

I have to order mine online. Search for Cottonwood Bark, and you'll find it easily. Grows in northern climates.

thanks Malcolm.... I think maybe hundreds? I carve these little ones as a leader to attract people into my booth at the art show and markets.... I sell them for about $25 and up. At that price, they go quickly. I try to adapt the Quick-Carve style to other subjects like sea creatures and more. My new course shows all of this from start to finish, even how to market them. Here is the TRICK.... I can create 2 of these in one hour or less. That equates to $50 to $70 per hour. in a 20 hour week (I don't like to work full time) That can produce $1000 in cash sales. Not shabby for a hobby. BUT the trick is using the Quick-carve method.

I'm not sure I understand your question, but it looks like you are asking how much money these can sell for? The answer is $15 to $30, and it depends on a lot of factors, such as the venue, your work quality and more.
