I fully understand getting out in this wonderful weather. My old arthritic bones have been loving it and I've been out every day with an RC car. 😁 I have just finished a build of the Tamiya Racing Fighter on the DT-03 chassis. Standard kit with just the metal bearings and steel pinion gear upgrades. It also came with the oil cva shocks and a torque tuned motor. It was a rather special one, since I decided to bite the bullet and have a go at the cutting out the body and painting it bit. I did have the good sense to invest in some proper lexan scissors - what a revelation - and I went for a single colour custom paint job - Absima metallic blue - and it all came out far better than I ever expected. I took my time with the cutting out (probably about 90 minutes in total with some rest breaks) and put 4 coats on the body shell having watched a few videos on the painting of body shells. I haven't put on the decals for two reasons. One they are a real pain to work with - not like the Airfix decals I used to work with in my youth - and two, I don't actually like them anyway. Why cover up my paint job? 😉 It really has come as quite a surprise how well it turned out. I even had a complimentary comment about the paint job from someone in my local park when I took it out for its first run. I'm really chuffed about it. Looking forward to the Spitfire. That will be a real treat as it is the most iconic of aeroplanes. Also looking forward to the Super Hornet. My birthday is next month and the plan is to treat myself to the new FTX Apache and a Tamiya Blitzer Beetle kit. Let's hope this amazing weather lasts and lasts.

Love your very colorful airplanes. Very nice looking. Mine look pretty bland against yours by comparison. I am also a fan of Seagull models. I recently saw a very interesting tour video of their factory in Saigon. They seem to do excellent and very high precision work there.
