Foraging for pinecones is fun and your tree produces beautiful cones. Lucky!! A good trick to get rid of bugs is to bake the pinecones for a while on the lowest heat setting, on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Just keep watch on them in the oven. ❤

*Bake Your Pinecones* . Personally, I always bake foraged pinecones in the oven on 250 degrees for at least an hour. It hardens any sap, opens the cone and kills critters. Great Inspo V!

Beautiful wrapping. I’m glad I’m not the only one that tucks the cut sides in. I taught my daughter and son years ago to do the same. It gives such a finishing touch to the wrapping. Now I want to plant a cypress tree in my yard

Fun video---always look forward your Christmas content! For me personally, I've always detested wrapping gifts of any kind, regardless of the occasion, for as long as I can remember...don't ask me why; it's like I have two left hands. LOL About ten years ago, I began the practice of sourcing unique vessels---sometimes especially cool baskets, or decorative boxes, but mostly other things which the recipient will enjoy and can use afterwards. Like you, I add living greenery and something scented (usually little cinnamon pine cones if it's Christmas) Have found it to be a rewarding and creative little pastime....and the possibilities are virtually endless My only exceptions to the 'wrapping boycott" are for 'Santa' gifts, and gifts of any occasion for small children, since they love ripping the paper off.

You can clean up the pine cones of any critters by just simply putting them on a very low heat for 1 hour in the oven. Bonus points: makes the house smell amazing!

I prefer wrapping the ribbon around both the width and length of the packages. I think it looks more complete.

I got that gold wrapping paper one year with the woodgrain on it and tape would not stick to it! Have you had that issue? If not, what kind of tape do you use? I even tried a hot glue gun and even that didn’t work!
