Thank you for the clear and well edited footages of the race. It is still unclear who initiated the false start of the race, but one thing is very clear - MT should have been disqualified for unsportsmanlike conduct. As a side note, had Fealofani Samoa III did their foe fa’akigi a little bit earlier they might have caught up and won. The way they kuliva’a really gave us all a good show.

This footage clear showed how unorganised the lanes were sole, not once but few time those two fautasis had it nearly bumping into each other, sa kakau g faakogu lelei komiti in charge lanes for the teams, as well shud have made it a rule to avoid steering into each other

they did that on purpose cause during their practice run these two fautasis collided and ended in each other throwing water bottles and hitting each other with the foe, so them steering into each other was on purpose

The year may change but the race track stay the same, for those that don't understand a good captain would steer straight for that turn because it's the fastest way towards the end (kigi) meaning "LE AVA" the split turn.. every captain knows that route... Good race tho , good job on all fautasi and aumaga..

5 times Nuuuli cut Aua off taking them into the reef and wharf. Makes the fun in competition not worth it when you have to cheat to win. Need better rules against that and jet ski interference. Boat captain needs to be banned from competition. Let the race be determined by the crew out rowing their competition. If your crew is that good they would race without interfering with the other boats right of way. Not worth watching anymore because of the few that ruin the competition. Disqualified 🤡

This is clear evidence of the Nu'uuli captain cheating and unsportsmanlike conduct. Twice he deliberately pushed the Paepaeulupo'o to the reefs and if Aua wouldn't stop, the fautasi would've been damage. It's just sad and you cannot argue with clear video footage....Bty, I'm not from Aua or from any villages with a fautasi....

wrong, getting that corner cut was not cheating, it was strategy cs that corner pushes the boats closer to the line with how disproportionate the finish line was and 2) neither boats steered into each other, going by the current its hard to control steering on the waters, especially with a crew that big, overall, the race between these two boats was fair and square

That pushing towards the reef move made it possible for someone or a crew to be seriously hurt, harmed. But then again a serious injury(ies) or loss of life all at the price of winning a boat race is not important! Your footage reflected those very real possibilities!
