Great video. I've got a Frontrunner rack just like yours. I'm wondering what the height of the tent is, from the bottom of the tent to the top? I've got a low roof garage, so it's important for me to know I'll be able to drive in with the tent installed. Thanks for your help!

From the bottom rails to the top is 11"

Thanks for the video. What does it weight with the ladder and mattress? Same for the awning?

The Tent comes in at 185 lbs and the Awning is 62 lbs. Let me know if you have anymore questions. Ross@tgmoverland.com

Have you used both the tent and the awning in high speed gusty winds? How do they perform? Thank you for the video.
@TGMOverland4 жыл бұрын
I had a chance a few months ago to use the tent in 35mph gusts and it got down to about 29 degrees that night. The highest winds I've had the awning out in would have been about 15-20mph gusts and I wasn't really worried about it.

Is there an easy way to mount the awning on a front runner slimline roof-rack and still have the strap fastened to some attachment on the rack on the other side if one does not plan to have the QP tent?
@TGMOverland4 жыл бұрын
Quick Pitch is in development of Front Runner specific brackets and we are hoping to have them this spring. The strap just needs a stud from an M8 bolt to go on or you can wrap the strap around a bar and slip the strap through the slot on the metal piece on the end of the strap.

You don't need a RR, you can mount the tent directly on with load bars and save 32+ kg o RR weight

So the rtt has existing mounting point for both the en-suite and awning?
@TGMOverland4 жыл бұрын
There is a channel that is part of the tent. Quick Pitch makes mounting brackets for the En-suite and Awning that use this channel. You do have to Drill a few holes for the awning mounts in the tent.

hey did you drill the mount for awning to the roof tent !? if you have video for installation please share it with us
@TGMOverland10 ай бұрын
I don’t have an install video however yes. The rear mount you have to drill 4 holes in the back of the tent. Mine has the same drilled in the front however the newer brackets doesn’t require drilling for the front mount only the rear.

Good review . How has your awning held up? I have had issues with mine .
@TGMOverland Жыл бұрын
I haven’t really had any issues with it. Aside from the early canvas bag not holding up the the sun as well as the new pvc bags it has been great. What issues did you have?
@davidschwarz1436 Жыл бұрын
The canvas has torn where it meets the fist arm . It looks like the stitching is starting to come apart on the other arms also.

How is the awning holding? Curios about the longevity of the textile
@TGMOverland Жыл бұрын
It has been holding up fantastic. I’m still using my original awning. The only thing that has changed is the exterior bag. Those have been replaced with a MICH more UV resistant PVC material bag. Mine still has the canvas back on it. I’m waiting until if fully gives up until I put my PVC replacement bag on.

How does the quality compare to an AluCab and BushCompany?
@TGMOverland4 жыл бұрын
This is probably one of the strongest designs available. Quality wise its on par with what you would expect from a good South African tent. It has two very big advantages though, price, and overall shell construction. There are no bolted on hinges or riveted on panels. All of the extruded aluminum shell is welded together. They are also priced well under other comparable tents from South Africa.
