People put dummy airbags on cars many time trying a avoid an expense replacing the blown one. But, they failed to understand the seriousness of not having them work properly, when they are needed. You guys should consider getting a PDR Hotbox to magnetically remove those small dings like the one in that front passenger side fender. They also work great on hail damaged cars. I do PDR work, and it's a heck of a lot easier than bondoing, priming, and repainting.

That's is how my ford truck. Airbag light on, so instead of letting the dealership scan the code to charge me $$ I ordered a OBD2 scanner and now I got the codes and searched on Google, KZfaq. And already had my right passenger side ordered since I knew the right side belt buckle wasn't clip so now I'm replacing. And check on other Airbag control also. Most of ford dealership don't carry or sell the parts just like the suv you're working on. My truck wasn't been into accident, someone trade in the truck before, now its paid off. I've been watching your videos on buy carport cars and fix it, probably sell it. Good videos! Keep it up, I'm still learning.

Michael, that was a great job to find the missing air bag. It took a lot of patience and a calm person to do this job. Safety is number one and you must always have a vehicle rebuilt back as it should. I too am a buyer, but I never buy Hyundai's because they are stolen easily. I have been watching for awhile, but today I just subscribed. Merry Christmas. Hope I can learn more as I watch your channel.

Had a 2020 santa fe limited. Beautiful car, lots of features and not one problem. Just traded it in for a 2023 Sante Fe Calligraphy which has even more features. Compared to other brands best bang for the buck.

i love the daily vids. I had a feeling something was up with the hyundai. It looked too clean and was partially worked on. Wasnt sure why someone would give up on it throw it at the aucition when they were so close to getting it done. Will you have to pull the whole dash to replace that airbag? Thats probaby what they wanted to avoid doing.

Well I hate to say it but I was right. I did mention to check the wiring meaning the dash board/airbag as I was sceptical that it had been done correctly and you found out that it had not. That could have been dangerous though I am sure you would not sell it in that state. It is always worth checking other people's work when buying a car like that. Merry Christmas Brothers. 👍👍🤶

Did you try to google the vin? it probably came up at salvage auction before then you see pics of previous damage. .... I was also going to suggest if they didn't install driver airbag chances are there is no passenger one either.

I'm not surprised you found problems. Just a guess the person who worked on this tried to do a quick flip, collect from the insurance company, and not spend any money. Your customers will be glad to see you make the vehicle safe to drive. This looks like a nice car and will be a winner for you. However, you should carefully examine anything the previous techs may have touched.

Take a dead battery pick up to waist drop 2 time on the floor then charge battery they come back to life

Im guessing they couldn't get the air bags and it was taking to long so they totalled it is my guess

I would have replaced the battery with OEM. It looks better to a buyer vs the cheaper after market battery.
