A lot of you ask how I get my daughters hair looking smooth, lump free in a ponytail.
For me, trying to put long hair into a ponytail without leaving the lumps and bumps around her head is hard.
I used to have my husband help me pull Graycie's hair through the hair band while I hold the base of her hair right against her head. He isn't always home to help me so I found a way to do it.
In this video I'll show how I do it while leaving all the hair around her head smooth.

I have 3 daughters. It’s hard as hell. I make 3 pony tails every morning monday thru friday for the last 5 years and I am only okay at it. I’ll try this method with the comb to see if I can pull off that sleek look.

@@GlorifiedGremlin always! Make one side smooth, the other side bumps. Get both sides smooth, tie it, and it finishes with lumps on both sides 🤦‍♂️

I should think Dads would pull more than Mums. Dads tend to get clumsy when faced with a head of someone else's long hair, even if they've worn their hair long at some stage of their pasts

I’m guessing my hair is just way too thick to go into a ponytail, even though it’s straight/slightly wavy and only a little frizzy. I can only do low ponytails, and high ponytails take five to seven minutes to do by someone else.

LITERALLY SAME!! my hair is also extremely thick and curly, whenever I do a high ponytail I try to make my hair as tight and smoothed back as the girl in the video, but it's incredibly hard to do that with how much natural volume I have and it bothers me too much. i hate whenever my ponytail feels loose in any way and if it's not like super tight to my head :(

I’m 15. I can braid, I can do double pony tails etc.. for some reason all my life I struggled with one pony tail. The bumps, the fly always , the baby hairs. My hands would get tired of holding up all the hair so I cut it. (I’m still struggling with short hair )

It does get hard holding your own hair yourself. I struggle sometimes myself🤷🏻‍♀️ We're all not perfect but we can always do our best😉🤗

I would advise u not to make ponytail everyday because your daughter is going to lose her hair on her forehead.

SAME. I have curly hair too and it's super thick, so whenever I put it up in a ponytail it's extremely hard to make it as tight and flat to my head as the girl in the video.

when I try to do a high ponytail it always has lots of lumps and it feels like my hand is too small to hold the hair which is too much when I try to brush it from all the sides, it just feels like my hair gets used to a lower ponytail or just being straight and it doesn't really like being in a high ponytail it just doesn't want to get in another position I don't know how to explain it

Some gels do make it look greasy but we use spray gel which does not make it look greasy. You don't need to use gel if you don't want too. It just helps to tame the flyaways and have better control of the hair.😊
