Here’s what I do as preventative maintenance at out of box and regular string changes.
*Also : Good idea to check tuners for grittiness or sticky feel. A drop or two of 3&1 oil go a long way!
*Make sure to keep your wood instrument in a properly humidified area. Dry air can cause solid wood instruments to crack and deform.
Use a proper sound hole humidifier or room humidifier.
