wish jim could’ve held it together cuz i think the entire field running 5s would’ve made the crowd explode even more. Being there pretty much across from u behind the fence was absolutely awesome

Then he runs a 5.87 in a losing effort against the Import record holder the next day. Next year will be a all 5 sec qualified field. I was there on the pit side Howe headed to the center line on every pass he made.

Indeed. Wicked fast, really light, 4-cylinder pro mod. Kinda nutty that there is no weight requirement for the rotary and 4-cylinder guys. The minimum weight for car and driver with a 6-cylinder engine is 2100 lbs so what do we think this thing weighs? I'd guess quite a bit less. It's all about HP to weight, after all.

4 cylinder cars have no minimum weight and 6 cylinder cars are 2100 lbs. They'd never run these ETs without the handicap.

⁠⁠@@HondaAccordPerformanceand it’s Slower than a stock bottom end LS in a old Gmc sonoma pickup that went 7.1 seconds lmao. Stock block coyotes are running low 6 second 1/4 miles, the fastest engine is dodge hemis.

It’s not fair to compare actual pro mods to pro imports imo. Pro import is all out whereas pro mod is regulated. Unregulated they’d go 5.3’s to the 1/4 all day especially for when you see 3.5’s in the 1/8 for pdra cars
