Welcome to the Mojave National Preserve!
Evenings in the desert are a quiet affair, while being absolutely beautiful. With the crickets quietly chirping and the breeze blowing gently, you get to watch the sun slip behind the mountains, or in this instance, the cinder cones while breathing in the scent of the surrounding area starting to cool off from the heat of the day. On this evening, we set up right outside the lava tubes to watch the sunset and enjoy the view of the layers in front of us! Enjoy!
