Chuck wright the bassist here is also an original member. People tend to forget that he played uncredited on the metal health album and he was the bassist for the entire quiet riot III album. Plus he's been a longtime friend of the band before they were famous. If you have a chance see them live. They do not dissapoint!

Glad Frankie finally found a true lead singer..I really hope this works out for good with Jizzy, they sound great...Congrats on keeping Quiet Riot alive, who cares if it's not the same band from 1979, not a lot of bands are able to keep all the originals together, as long as Frankie is on drums it's Quiet Riot to me, sure it would be great if Kevin was still here and Rudy and Carlos were in the band but that's not how it played out, that's no reason to end Quiet Riot..

There is a lesson to be learned here. Look at the roadie-guy right in the middle of the screen - at about 1m31s he picks up a book and starts reading... and keeps reading throughout the rest of the set... Now, brethren, let us recall Spinal Tap's Stonehenge problem - How they accidentally instructed the stone fabricator to make the stonehenge replica 12" instead of 12' - and then the dwarf kicked it over right in the middle of their set? What was the band's complaint? When a dwarf kicks over a prop it tends to downplay the immensity of the hugeness of such monolithic legends... So too here... when you are trying to look like an ultra-cool heavy metal band... it tends to detract from all the excitement when your roadie picks up a book and starts reading right in the middle of your set...

They sound great!! Hell ya 80s metal rules ! Its hard to replace Kevin Dubrow he had a very distinctive voice but this guy does a great job. It aint easy singin yer balls off at that high vocal tone. Woo woo crank it up !!! When i listen to Quiet Riot so do the neighbors !!!

This new lead singer is pretty good. He's got the high notes down very well. He's got big shoes to feel by being the lead singer of Quiet Riot, but he's got the act down pretty solid. I saw them 3 years ago with their last singer Scott and he had the vocals down pretty damn good too. Long live Quiet Riot!!

This may not be the original band that you remembered from the 80s, but it is still Quiet Riot, not a cover band. There are very very few bands that ever make it over thirty years with the same group of guys, most have drastically different line ups. Even the group that made it big during the MTV era was just the latest version of the group at that time. People think that that was the only true QR because it was the most famous version, AND people also get nostalgic for a certain time in their life, and they feel that the current version of a band is somehow a betrayal of their youth. I've stopped being such a purist, and I've given latest versions of bands (and also tribute bands) a chance, and I've found them to be quite entertaining, and legitimate.

Okay, just saw a two hour documentary on Showtime about QR. The bassist here actually played on Mental Health. Check the liner notes. He kept coming and going from the band. You see Rudy on the jacket but it was this guy. Tom I believe. The guitarist has been in the lineup for many years now. QR has actually had like 37 member changes too. It's ridiculous. Frankie also played in W.A.S.P. Honestly Frankie really struggled with playing again. In the end Kevin would want him to carry on. Think about it. He was that kind of person. No, it's not the same. Never will be. That was 30 years ago. Enjoy the moment and that these bands are still around playing the music we all loved in the 80's. In my opinion I think they sound great. Scott did sound like Kevin however he kept botching up Cum On Feel the Noise live. The band had enough. So they parted ways.

StangQuest94 they're a cover band. only one original memeber (drummer). chuck only played on two tracks from debut. nobody wants see a band without original singer (unless you have ton of hit-van halen, ac/dc)

Kevin unfortunately is gone. But if i were to replace him to keep his memory and music alive for all the QR FANS LIKE MYSELF I WOULD CHOOSE JIZZY. Being a Jizzy fan i love it. Going to see them Saturday July 12th HOB ANAHEIM CANT FUCKIN WAIT..........LONG LIVE QUIET " FUCKIN' RIOT......I LOVE KEVIN R.I.P. have fun with the music keep METAL ALIVE "BANG YOUR HEAD"

Kevin you are still in our hearts, soul and mind. and to have jizzy continue the Legacy is an honour.jizzy you nailed it.and to have chuck wright back in the fold is the one n only wright replacment to rudy. as for Mr. Frankie Banali keeping the dream alive is what separates him from other musicians much love and respect to frankie and as far as Alex Grossi Goes The distance and then some you are a guitar hero Alex

Of all the singers since Kevin D (RIP) I think Jizzy is the best because he doesn't try to sound like KD. He makes the songs his own and is by far the front man. To me KD is quiet riot

A good Q.R.'s cover band, just only this: a cover band of Quiet Riot leaded by Frankie Banali... Quiet Riot was died with Kevin Dubrow almost nine years ago, this is the simply truth (before this, the band, was died a first time with the 1988's eponimus album absurdly with Paul Shortino on vocals...)

Not one of these musicians are even original members. Check out Quiet Riot I and II released only in Japan. God bless Frankie for keeping the band going.

Fantastic performance. I would pay just to see Frankie pound the skins. Easy to type behind a keyboard with negative comments. If any of the naysayers were in the crowd, they would have been rocking just like this crowd was. Kudos to these guys for doing what they love. Dubrow is not replaceable but to carry on the name is honorable. Waiting for them to come to a town near me.

Hey kid look up and stop reading your study guide ..someone is kicking ass on drums!! And when was quiet riot quiet riot from the video?? For a couple years maybe or something. Thats whats kinda great ..everyone has their quiet riot wars!! Trust me quiet riot thats a good thing. Its when people stop complaining and silence replaces opinion is when its time to stop. This band has die hard fans so thats not happening. And for a live show and some of the hardest lyrics to sing..its good and very enjoyable live show..the best bang for your buck you are going to get. Does anyone know what band will never replace and play on a member that has left us? Its a shame and understandable all in one. But my god why can we not have one last fucking best metal show ever ..have Kiss and Quiet Riot play as well...anyone?

I was asking myself the same when I first came across this link. Frankie Banali the drummer is the only original member from the Metal Health album. I didn't expect this band to play again after Kevin passed away ( RIP ) , and at first I didn't like the idea of a new line up ( 75 % new members ) touring as "Quiet Riot ", it would have been more honest to call the band " Frankie Banali's QR" or something similar, you know. Last year I saw " Marky Ramones' Blitzkrieg" in Greece, same thing, just the drummer from Ramones and 3 new members, he didn't go and call it a gig with " The Ramones", Anyways, I have to say this line up sounds great though, I never liked Jizzy very much, but here he does a great job ! And the guitarrist too, had very much the sound of the old days, which is kick ass. I think this is basically a cover band, but ok, being an old fan of Quiet Riot, I would love to go see a QR cover band, I do hope they will come over to Europe soon ! I just wonder, what does Carlos Cavazo and Rudy Sarzo think about this ? Were they even invited to join the band again, or maybe they don't care enough...

@@zel77777 -- They actually wanted to rejoin but Frankie shot down the offers. It was because Alex and Chuck were part of the last QR lineup before Kevin passed. Kevin was content with the lineup.

Jizzy actually sounds pretty decent. I'm not a huge Jizzy fan but he fits QR well. I saw him with Ratt years ago and he was so bad the venue cleared out after 3 songs. They should slow down the tempo on this song a bit.. way to fast here in my opinion..

I saw the original Quiot Riot in 1984 supporting Judas Priest on the Defenders of the Faith tour I'm Glasgow Apollo. Then they were brilliant. Judas Priest can still pull it off live .But not this lot.

+Rock Dinosaur Chuck Wright actually played bass on the Metal Health album's title track. If you don't believe me, look it up. Frankie Banali is also still there. In my opinion Quiet Riot from Metal Health onwards is a different band than the one with Randy Rhoads anyway.

The people that can't appreciate this line up are the ones poisoned by the music corporations , Jizzy is the Jesus Christ of hollywood. Love Hate walked the strip with us building the foundation of these songs everywhere every night in Hollywood. All these bands hung out together, and that makes these guys original members if you had any clue of how these bands came up, living the Hollywood and North Hollywood street life.

I love how everyone keeps posting about how this isn't the original lineup, as if they were dropping a bombshell on everyone. Al you do when you say that shit, is that you haven't bothered to keep up with the music you once loved, and it went on without your lazy asses. This lineup pays tribute the band beautifully. I got to meet DuBrow in 2003 and he was the nicest dude i the world.
