Love how you can inadvertently (or advertently!) knock somebody off, eat 'em, make capes from their skin etc. - it's just flesh, after all... but wearing a dead man's clothes? oh no, THAT would be gross.

Made even better by Strip then kill is fine. Kill then strip is nasty. The order of events resulting in a person being aware that they got looted/ stripped before being executed somehow is the acceptable one. - Rimworld logic

For the record, the one with the missing finger did not instigate the fight, and the leg was not ripped off. It was completely crushed beyond repair with one punch (cue music)

just to clarify the swamp cooler and passive cooler thing, they are both the same thing and the only difference is in the modern day we can put a fan infront of our tray of water

The basic operating principle of them is that evaporation is a endothermic process and will cool the environment. (Same as sweating) They are functionally that same thing as a humidifier (invisible mist marketing). However, because of this they are basically useless in most regions as humidity make the air feel hotter and higher humidity lowers their evaporation rates. Basically, in the desert they are great if you can spare the water, but in a swamp they won't even function. (A bucket of ice with a fan works anywhere)

Once you've selected the correct you can also click, hold & drag down the list of assorted buttons to easily set apparel, meds, allowed zones etc: no more individual clicking each & every pawn in the Assign & other screens :) This doesn't work in Work or Schedule (for time settings) screen, but it's easy enough to copy/paste then tweak settings there.. Yesterday (Tuesday's) 3074 update fixes a bunch more bugs, including some that Quill encountered here..

Have you ever had pemmican IRL? Anyway, my point is you can 'purify' any veggies you find by making pemmican, because it ceases to be animal or vegetable, and becomes mineral!

BTW, to Anybody who enjoyed "they're made of meat". I HIGHLY suggest you check out 'Humanity F* yeah" and "Humans are space orcs". Two online communities/genres with very similar veins about Humanity's interactions with aliens and how freaking weird we might be to them.

I remember reading one about an alien herbivore who was sent in a sort of "live among the humans to learn their ways" mission. To his horror he quickly found out that humans are so savage and bloodthirsty they forced their children to co-habitate with carnivores to test whether or not they were strong enough to survive. He was talking about dogs.

US President Jimmy Carter was attacked by a rabbit at Camp David and the Secret Service shot it down. Haha. Rabbits VS Hares. Rabbits tend to prefer semi-wooded areas with plenty of cover; hares frequent wide open spaces. While both rabbits and hares sport long ears and long hind legs, hares tend to be larger, with longer ears and limbs. Hares are also faster, which benefits them in the open habitats that they prefer: hares usually sprint away from predators, while rabbits dart to the nearest hiding place.

Suggestion: Remove connecting door between kitchen and dining room. Your kitchen is getting dirty because of all the through traffic. Add a door in the dining room on the east wall leading outside. They can use that to access the freezer.

Great Series! I tried the new DLC. Just wasn;t for me. I also am doing a tribe play through with just the base game an royalty. I found that the gloom furniture mod fir really well for the tribe folk. maybe you could take a look at it ? Keep up the great work here!

Regarding the KZfaq comments, there IS a way to turn on alerts for when someone responds to one of your comments. I don't remember how, but I know I did it b/c I get notifications whenever someone responds to me.

Kitchen should always always always always be a dead end room. If your kitchen has through traffic then you have way more cleaning required. I tend to prefer a little kitchen just perched on one side of the freezer, next to a separate abattoir. Save yourself all that vomit and dirt clean-up.

3:19:00: Well, you did just say these are useless so I'm guessing you won't read this, but I do get alerts when someone replies to one of my comments. No idea if it's an option I had to turn on or not, but I get e-mails with what people have said in replies. Personally I tend to prefer posting comments with feedback to other methods, since I know it's worth engagement score to feed Saint Algorithmus, but I'd given up on doing that with you since you don't generally seem to read them... I guess that explains it. :D

Yes, IIRC it's a YT setting that isn't enabled by default, but I don't think it requires /that/ much hunting to enable it.. :)(

Also; about that temperature...anything below -1 is frozen and never decays. Anything between 0 and 10 counts as chilled and delays the rot state...anything above 10 will use the normal decay rate but other than those 3 states any decay rate stays the same (isn't affected by temperature). This is important for Vanilla expanded cooking as chilled grill will lose the bonus for having the "freshly grilled" stat and soup loses its bonus once frozen.

another addendum; butchering a creature near dessication resets the timer on the meat spoiling. cooking a meal from meat near to spoiling resets the timer on the resulting meal (3.6days) again too... so if you REALLY want to be time efficient you will keep unbutchered corpses; then butcher them once they get near to spoiling, then cooking pemmican out of them once the meat is close to spoiling for the maximum amount of time to get from "freshly killed" wildlife.
