I have been quilling for a number of years and I could never understand how some peoples pieces were so delicate and mine were not. After watching you on this video and seeing how you glue it makes so much since to me now. Thank you so much for the video...

Miriam's Quilling recommends keeping a lint roller at her work table to tap the dry glue off her fingers. She also uses it to take excess dried glue off of quilling pieces. It would probably work for most of the dandruff you speak of.

I tried the lint roller. It's, meh, ok. BUT, the biggest thing is it didn't solve the problem of the preventing the glue getting on the tools. :) The damp cloth is still necessary with or without the roller. :/ But, thanks for the idea! It was pretty interesting.

I have watched this video as well as your other video's over the last two days and I have to say I learned a lot. I love how you show and explain what you are doing. I have been quilling for about a year so these types of learning videos are so awesome for helping to understand the different techniques for the same pieces. Thank you for taking the time and showing the process. Hope to see more video's in the future!

The last leaf looks like it would make a perfect leaf for a St Joseph's lily.

Seeing your work on this video makes me eager to view your other videos, to find out the rhymes and reasons for the technique you use. I already have the same pet combs that you do, but can see some finesse that I can learn from you. Thank you so much for your attention to detail and sharing with others.

Very nice video with a lot of information. Thanks for the idea of using the beading pliers to prevent making indentations in the paper. It's not in my budget right now, but now it's on my list!

To remove an item from a comb, I use the contoured foot portion of a pair of tweezers to go around the item and slide it off the comb.

Hi. What do you use to clean your glue brushes. Thank you Kathy

Thank you for watching! Typically I just use warm water and dish soap. I leave my brush out to dry overnight. I'm not sure that is what would be recommended by a manufacturer or not, but it works for my purposes. (if I need to use craft glue for any reason, I will soak my brush overnight. Craft glue dries much more stiffly than PVA and can harm your brush if left too long.) :) Hope that helps! Feel free to join us on Facebook at Quilltopia! facebook.com/groups/661662918171758

I keep a damp paper towel at the bottom of my dish and my applicator bottom turned down. I haven't had a problem with the applicator clogging, then I use the brush to spread the glue if needed.

I think for some quillers, (the old me included) the applicators are just so handy! If it works for you, rock on! I always encourage folks to try different methods, a brush just works for my purposes but that doesn't mean it is for everyone! Thanks for watching!!
