Oh, my goodness! It's beautiful! I used to do quilling as a teenager and I just picked it up again this year. I kept looking at quilled art ideas, but couldn't figure out how to do this vortex. You did an excellent job at explaining how to do this. It looks so easy. Thank you!

I am just starting on my quilling learning and your video was easy to follow (except the volume was very quiet). Following your instructions, I have made a nice square, but when I twist, my centre makes a circle and my outer square does not move... Not sure what I'm doing wrong - can you help me please...

I wish I could see how you did it so that I can identify the problem. May I know what is the paper weight of your quilling paper? I used 80gsm which is quite light and easy to twist when I make square vortex.

You can use them to decorate photo frames, wall clocks etc. Also as background for sentiments.

But how many times did you twist the center? Mine still looks like circles inside a square.

I twist it slowly from the centre of the square with my left fingers and and twist the square itself with my right. Twist is as many times as you like until you get the vortex pattern that you are happy with.

How many teeth did you take every time? Is it first time 2 and then one each time till finish.

Yes, you are correct....to start, take 2 teeth/pins, then take 1 each time till you finish.

You mean that quilling comb?? Oh that one I got from DAISO. It's actually a flea comb for pets. So you can get one from pet stores too.
