Learn to make a quick quilt using quilt as you go techniques and a precut jelly roll.
Putting the blocks together couldn't be easier using my Easy Sashing technique.
Here is the link to the Easy Sashings book on my website www.OnPoint-TV.com
Available as a hard copy book:

Here is the tutorial video for the Easy Sashing technique. It's a kind of long video with a whole other stitch in flip technique, so here is the starting spot for the Easy Sashing technique that you might use for this quilt:

I'm year late, but I loved what you made. I made a log cabin lap quilt 9 years ago. And I'm picking it up again. I'm 71 years old and I'm doing this again. I'm a crocheter and having trouble with my hands so I'm sewing.

Hi, I am in Australia, I am 73 yrs ole & have been quilting since I was 23. I watched this video half a dozen times & then tried it. Sooo excited because when you edge stitch the strips it is perfectly positioned on the other side. Thankyou so much p, I have struggled with getting them to match for years.

Loved the video. and I love that you said "after church today". I too attend church, and Sunday afternoon is my FREE SEW TIME. Any thing that is laying on the table gets sewn into something. I think we're all looking for ways to "Quilt our own stuff". Way cheaper too.

For icebreaker for staff's first day of school this year, they asked for us to say something new we had learned in Summer. I actually said that it took me all of my 58 years to find out that a Norwalk is an actual fish!!!! I loved hearing you ask about it. Nice to know I was not alone in this!!

I have been quilting now for over 40 years, wow, I'm old lol. Anyway, I have always, always loved doing Log Cabins, and wonky cabins but wow this is so much faster. I was watching it and then was wondering how you going to put that together and BAM your method is so fantastically thought out it was like my mind did a happy dance! I found your tutorial doing searches for quilt-as-you-go techniques and I'm so thrilled I found you. Amazing speech skills, you speak so clearly and explain everything so anyone could do this. Thank you so much! I see many, many more log cabins in my future, and again, thank you!

That is why when I found your tutorial I was so pleased! You showed me exactly WHAT supplies were beneficial, WHY I needed them and HOW to put them together....easily and may I say SMARTLY! I don't have the benefit to run back out to the store to grab more items. You listed it all for me!! Did you know that a lincolin block with a black square in the middle was used in America at the time of slavery? a black square in the middle meant that a slave could go to the home with that quilt on the fence and get help food and shelter? So nice of you to show how to make that pattern. Thank you.

FYI: I'm an old quilter. The square in the middle always meant a fireplace and was always red. However, in a funeral or memorial quilt, the center was black or dark and indicated a loved one had died.

What a happy discovery of your channel! I have made a table runner and an embroidered (programmed) log cabin single quilt with sashings strips and I stressed joining the blocks. I appreciate seeing the simplicity of using the batting joining tape (it appears to be sturdier than the steam-a-seam tape that I used) and I'll stitch from the back. I will also be marking my blocks after each round from now on! And I loved that your backing pieces were varied. Thank you, Nancy! So many new ideas in one video. I'm subscribing (and sharing) and looking forward to more great tips!

This is perfect. I’ve already cut 64 squares out for the back and I got the bedding and I have them to get half inch inch inch and a half bigger than the actual finish block. I like your idea about folding the batting in half. I’ve already basted mine together, but I could fold it even with the two sides together. I don’t think it’s gonna be a big deal. I also measure, but this is very helpful so thank you.
