I have always been a messy creator. It didn’t bother me how many things piled up on the floor and shelfs. I had time… When my kids arrived, crafting became a luxury time. It took me a while to work out routine which allowed me to continue my journey as a creator. It involved minimalism in my wardrobes and house but also, introducing organisation to the space I was working in. Removing re-work, planning preparation, working in batches. Sounds technical but it really worked. I have shared in this video number of storage solutions and some of the things I do, to make sure I have time for what I love doing - sewing. Perhaps one or two tips will help you too. Happy sewing!

Thanks for sharing your storage and scrap processing. I like that you have definite sizes that you most often use so your scraps can be cut to those sizes and organized easily By the way, I love your new hair cut❤ your

Very organized, good for you. All my fabrics are in dresser draws, grouped in colours. So far I’m good with this. I only do one quilt at a time ,then it’s keeled or given away. Trying to keep everything in perspective. Thanks for sharing your process. 👍❤️😊

I have been very good about not buying yardage…however, a bag of scraps at the thrift store..I have a weakness! So the processing you showed will help me immensely so I can actually use them. Most times I’m just digging through bins for the one fabric I think I have. Thanks for sharing!! Love your channel.

Thanks Pola. I, too, hate having to "look" for something when I want to be sewing. My scrap organization is very similar to yours, with a few differences. I wish I had room to hang things because I think your hanging strips is a brilliant idea! BTW....I like your haircut. 🙂

I try to wash scraps that I’m given so they don’t shrink or bleed after I use them. Little pieces in a lingerie bag. I don’t get 100% of them done.

@@polaquilting hello Pola, thank you for replying…..I found the tutorial, after I went through your whole list…..it is the one you did on “ modern technology”……four squares stitched together, then folded on the diagonal…..I love it, as I have lots of off cuts of woollen wading , that I am going to use…..I don’t throw away anything .
