This is a good video. Do you have videos for the Janome 9400/9450. Having trouble with decorative stitches. Looks great on top, but underneath it is a knotted mess. I would like to learn more about the screen and stitches.

Vicki Madigan - we only recently started this You Tube channel but we have been offering posts and videos on the MC9400 and Mc9450 for YEARS on our Janome Life blog. Do a search in the search box of Janomelife.wordpress.com for Mc9450 and you will see that we have had at least one post per month for a long time. You can also look at Chatterbox quilts where Kim, who is one of our Janome Canada artisans, has much info and many video’s. I’d have to ask you questions about thread, fabric, what dec stitches you are referring to and tension settings etc to be able to comment on what you report. Generally the bottom will NOT look like the top. Please contact me on Janome Canada Facebook or Janomelife where it is easier for me to reply.

Is there a part # for the M7 acufeed decorative stitching sole plate? I looked everywhere and couldn't find it.

I recently purchased the Continental M7 Professional machine and was wanting to know what the part number is for the dual accu feed flex foot and the ditch in the stitch foot? I checked my manual and the feet that came with the machine and this was not part of what I had gotten.

Jean Smith there is an accessory guide on our website under Products tab >> Accessories. Or your local Janome Dealer where you purchased the M7, will be able to assist you with part numbers. The Dual feed Acufeed flex foot AD ( wide) IS included with with the Continental M7 but not the ditch quilting sole plate for this foot. That is an optional accessory available at your local Janome Dealer.

Is there ANY other way to stop the back thread from being “a dogs breakfast” other than pulling up the bottom thread? I just bought this machine and I’m really dumbfounded by the crazy bunch of thread on the back every time I start a new seam.

We did a Janome Life blog post some months back where we explained how to avoid the thread nest underneath. This occurs on all machines with thread cutters. Not just Janomes. The tail is cut short and is not able to be caught and held when you start sewing. Please read our blog post for tips about how to avoid this. Hold thread with the thread cutter on the side or the foot or use a little leader at the beginning of your sewing.
