For regular PoE I'd like to see a unique that makes you count as stationary while not actually stationary. I haven't the slightest damn clue how much shit this affects so it might be super broken and hard to balance. I just see stuff like bleed and some pantheons that could be pretty sick if only it wasn't for the fact you need to do the one thing you should never do in PoE, be stationary. So yeah would be cool to see a unique unlock that barrier and depending on how fucking broken that shit is gonna be considering all possible synergies, probably balance it out a bit from there :') I'm not looking for a god item, just an interesting interaction.

Yeah I've played 4.5k hours in PoE and have yet to find a mageblood. I did own a headhunter back before it got nerfed, but super rare items break the mold a bit, and that's fine.

PoE allows for players to create their own build and playstyle. Where I see that D4 forces a certain playstyle and build. These mechanics are for two different player bases and styles of play.

Ok that explains why the uniques in POE are so interesting. This dude is obviously passionate about making unique items. D4 will never even get close to POE or POE2. Except that three dragons helm I still have never found a way to use that.

Also him talking about how they are trying to meet different player archetypes and what different people enjoy playing with is also great to hear. D4 has a great engine, but the entire game that exists inside that engine is just trash. Everything, it's stats, skills, itemization... Their vision for the actual *game* was just complete garbage. They didn't have good enough people working on designing the actual game, and then this is what you end up with. The entire idea that casual players will only like a casual game is so fucking wrong. Casual players would have loved a more complicated D4 as well. They still would have played it. There needs to be a casual level for getting players into the game (which perhaps PoE kinda lacks), but the game itself can be deep as hell without scaring away casuals.

maby must make an option like Last epoch, when you make a chr in SSF, have better drop rate, but the chr cant be gated back to multiplayer, it will for ever be locked in SSF that way solo players can have as much fun as trade league.

POE loves their crazy trees - so why not make a crazy rarity/drop rate tree that - when your gear have xyz +rare/+quant you can spend those points in the tree to focus on pants, or uniques or items with X stat? :P that would be a cool way to spend rarity and quant from gear and actually increase your target farming ability over just more and more loot explotions.

No one cares about SSF balance, it is a self imposed challenge. I play it and don't care if unique item X will drop or not, if they drop eventually then I can change my plans a bit.

game should NEVER be balanced around solo self found, quin is talking so much shit on this. The game started without it and only a small % of players play SSF. Rarity introduces trading and a lot of decision making when it comes to your build and how you spend currency. If it was balanced around SSF everyone would inevitable just get whatever they want and i feel it would be with less effort.

This explains one of my main icks with PoE. The fact they kind of design uniques with an SSF mentality "if 1 person really loves it it's cooler than if 5 people are kinda okay with it" is a super SSF mentality design, which I'm here for. Yay SSF, lets design the game around i... wait why aren't you designing the game around it except for that one thing??????? Now tradeleague gets cucked cus most uniques are alch shard material but SSF gets cucked because the actually useful build enabling things are T1 uniques and will not be reasonably found on the build you're building before you actually need it. So you have to trade to do something, but because you have to trade trade must be possible and because it's possible you only care about the sheer marketvalue of the item. The design team is kind of cutting themsevles in the fingers this way and I do think they should commit to one or the other. Preferably SSF and let traders be as broken as they wish in my opinion... But if you balance around trade also design around trade.
